Poultry Shears - Heavy Duty Kitchen Scissors for Cutting Chicken, Poultry, Game, Bone, Meat - Chopping Food - Spring Loaded

I've had these bone shears for about two months now. The first time that I used them was to spatchcock a 14 lb. turkey to cook on the pellet smoker for Thanksgiving, and they performed flawlessly. Normally that would be the last time shears would work well, but I've used them multiple times since with the same results. Good quality for the price.

These shears are great, we use them in the process of breaking down chickens into different pieces. They work great. My only problem is they do come apart easily. This is for cleaning I'm sure but can be a hassle if you drop them while cutting up the meat they sometimes come apart. While it's easy to put back togeather it's just a hassle. Overall I'm satisfied with these shears, makes cutting up chicken much easier

This is a great pair of shears. My favorite purpose for them is cutting pills in half, both for myself and my dogs. It seems that lots of the pills these days come needing to be cut in half, at least ours do. I was forever looking for a simple and efficient way to cut them down without crushing them into a powder. I place the pill in the “rounded” portion of the lower blade and I can make a clean, even cut so easily. No waste, no uneven sizes. I like the way they lock closed, come apart for cleaning and how lightweight they are. They are so handy and efficient.

Sharp. Tough enough for cutting chicken up. Hope they last a long time.

This was my third year using these shears for the spatchcocking method of preparing my turkey, where you cut out the backbone and flatten the turkey. Makes a great juicy turkey! The first year my husband used them and he was a big, strong guy so I thought the ease of use was related to his strength. Sadly, he passed away and I had to use these on the turkey the past 2 thanksgivings myself, and I continue to be amazed at how easy they cut through the turkey bones. I don’t have a lot of hand strength and these shears do the work. Easy to clean and stay sharp. Highly recommended.

Was hoping these would last years but after 6 months the spring stopped springing so they don’t pop back open… it’s now pure torture trying to use them.

Super sharp and cuts easily through bone. Always a moment of difficulty trying to reassemble, but one it is together it works well. When they dulled I thought I would get fancy and bought a pair of Andong scissors - which couldn't even cut through chicken skin! I am rebuying this pair. Thee sharpness may not last, but at least they worked.

I got these to replace a set of kitchen shears that somehow made it out to husband's workshop and got used for something related to repairing a broken down tractor!! No good for the kitchen any more :( I use scissors in the kitchen for countless things, but I specifically wanted a good pair to use to cut whole chickens into halves. These fill that bill. Sure, it takes a little muscle, but they cut right through the ribs down either side of the back. They also cut right through the cartilage between the breasts. I guess the serrated side is a fish scaler and the little hook thing on the end is a bottle opener. I'll never use either of those features. The spring loaded handle took a little getting used to, but no problem. I don't really see that as a "bonus feature" though. I like that they come apart for cleaning. Very easy to disassemble, but sometimes have to fidget with them a bit to get them back together. Again, not a problem. I've used them to trim the fat from meat, cut bags for my food sealer, cut kitchen string for tying up roasts, etc. A million uses, but most important for me, they make halving a chicken a snap. As for the reviewer who said that they wouldn't cut thawed meat....possibly a "dud" set or possibly, the meat just needs to be partially frozen to allow a clean cut as meany meats do. They appear to be very well made, sturdy. Would recommend.

I purchased these in 2021, and the first pair promptly broke...a metal fracture or manufacturer's defect. Got a prompt refund! Purchased again and have put this pair through 'WORK'. We slaughter many poultry every year and most are dismantled into parts to go in the freezer.This year we added some very rugged old birds to the line up and they had leg bones like granite...no joke. I thought my little shears had finally met their match. I had to use a bit more muscle, but the shears held up...as good as the year I bought them.The pictures shown on here make them look big...they aren't . They fit a standard hard working hand just perfectly. I so recommend them.

Very happy with these Shears. I still thought I would have to apply lots of strength or even use two hands but these are so easy to use and cut through with little effort. Also easy to pull apart for cleaning.

Very sturdy poultry scissors. Handle is comfortable and strong. Locking mechanism for easy storage when not in use. I purchased to spatchcock a turkey for thanksgiving and it easily cut through the turkey to remove the spine. Easy to clean. Arrived quickly. Happy with this purchase.
