Good basic tissue, bought in bulk on Amazon
I typically keep a warehouse membership active (you know, BJ's or Sam's Club) so that I can purchase my paper products in bulk and keep them handy I have found that Amazon offers a good enough price on many of those bulk items such as the Puffs Basic Facial Tissues. These are as the name suggests: "Basic". To me, they are totally comparable to Kleenex' classic tissues but are a little bit softer. These are two-ply without any lotions added or scents added. To be clear, they are soft like Kleenex are soft. If you ordinarily buy and expect Puffs softness (with or without lotion), you need to know that these are not the same. They are basic. No scent, no uber softness and fluff. They are a good, basic tissue that does the trick for a allergy ridden person that uses a lot of tissues (that would be me).The Amazon purchase in bulk was a great buy. Well packed and cute box designs.

Really surprised!
I immediately noticed the difference between what was the regular Puffs tissue and this last order of "basic".This tissue is much thinner and I am really sorry I ordered it but then how was I to know?Regardless of what I order on my Subscribe and Save account, I will take a much harder look if there are any changes to the products I have ordered before.Heads up, everyone!

These are better than the other brands and the box design makes it easier to use

good tissues
Great product, soft and does not fall apart when you blow as some do. There is also less dust or powder with each one as with other one also. I will be buying again

Still Thicker Than the Competition but Not As Soft. And Costs More.
Puffs "Basic" has replaced regular Puffs 2-ply tissue. I compared Puffs Basic side by side to the old regular Puffs and to Kleenex. The manufacturer claims that Basic is the same as old Puffs. It might be. In a blind test, Puffs Basic seemed slightly flatter and rougher than old Puffs, but barely. It could have been a difference in individual tissues or in batches. Kleenex is noticeably softer to touch than Puffs Basic but not as thick. Puffs is more cushioned. Puffs claims that their tissues are "air-fluffed" rather than being pressed flat, which is responsible for their alleged superior softness. You can see a horizontal quilting pattern. Kleenex has no such pattern. There is not as much air in Kleenex tissues. So you have to choose: thicker or softer.I have used Puffs since the 1980s. With my allergies, anything else left my nose raw and painful. Puffs were the softest, gentlest tissue on the market for a long time. This was partly because other tissues were so bad in the 1970s and 1980s. Their texture resembled very thin, commercial grade paper towels. Kleenex has improved a lot since then. There is less to distinguish Puffs from other brands now, though it is still priced higher. You have to buy Puffs Ultra Soft & Strong, at an even higher price, to get anything beyond an ordinary tissue.Puffs has also reduced its box size...again. The "family size" box now contains 180 tissues, down from 216. I remember when it was 250. The box designs are still ghastly. Puffs customers complain endlessly about them. It can't cost less to print ugly, psychedelic designs than tasteful colors or neutrals that would not clash with everyone's décor. The boxes are still accessible from the side, which I prefer to boxes that are slit in the top. Those can be difficult when the tissue level gets low, if the interleaving is not perfect. A medium box of Kleenex Everyday contains 184 tissues, making Kleenex slightly cheaper per tissue. Kleenex still makes a 240-count box, which is significantly cheaper per tissue than Puffs, though not as thick, and the box is slit in the top.

Puffs Basic Absorb Better
I use facial tissues to blot water off the lenses after I clean my glasses. The Puffs Basic absorbs better than Puffs Ultra & better then Kleenex (regular).

Careful on these
I ordered from "Daily Savings" and only received 12 boxes of tissues.

Do not buy at THIS PRICE!
Its not a review. Its an outrage how you DARE to post thias price on JUST tissue paper, praying on the chaos of recent event. Shame on Amazon and its developers for this. Its disgusting that a name so "prestigious" has tissue paper at this price. Im so disappointed.
