Heaven Help Us
Hell or High Water, by author Hailey Edwards, is the third and final installment in the Gemini trilogy. Hell or High Water begins right where Head Above Water left off. Camille Ellis’ search for changeling Harlow Bevans and diabolical killer Charybdis continues. There are some important developments. First, her aunt Dot and cousin Isaac have gone missing. The presumption is that they have been taken by Charybdis drives Cam to pursue every angle and possibility, which leads her to some interesting twists.Cam doesn't have many allies after being suspended by the Earth Conclave for her actions in the first installment. But, what she does have is a Warg pact called Lorimar, a new mate in Cord Graeson, and friends like Dell Preston who stick with her like glue. The pack dynamics is hard for someone who was born Fae to understand. Yet, Cam isn't afraid of learning as she goes, and making an effort to be part of something that could have major implications for her own future.Cam finally learns secrets that her family and the conclave have been keeping from her for years. Secrets that perhaps should have been revealed a whole lot sooner. I'm not a fan of parents who intentionally abandon their own children after something bad happens. Regret leads to resolution and even more shocking news. Not a fan of the Conclave either. Especially not after Cam gave her all to them for years, and got nothing in return. She also learns why she was targeted by Charybdis, the Fae serial killer she's been chasing throughout the series. This story isn't all that long at 246 pages. But it is action packed. While Cam is hunting for Harlow and Charybdis, he is jumping from person to person, and sending shock waves through everyone that Cam has ever known. Including her own parents who she hasn't seen in a long while. We also get our first introduction to Cam's cousin Theo. Theo and Cam have a long history of animosity, and Isaac's disappearance doesn't exactly calm Theo down. One of the things that has impressed me about this trilogy is Cam's growth. As a Gemini, Cam's powers have grown exponentially since we first met her. She can now hold her own, and is finally able to deal with her fear of water that has frightened her since her sister died. Once again, Thierry makes an appearance. One could say that Thierry is the one thing that binds all these series, plus Dell's trilogy together. If you're not aware, this story actually continues into Dell Preston's trilogy which is being called Lorimar Pack. I like Dell, so her story should be pretty entertaining.

A great conclusion to the Charybdis story
Hell or High Water picks up right after the previous book with Cam and Cord in dire straits. Harlow is still Charybdis' avatar, Isaac and Aunt Dot have been kidnapped and Graeson and several other wargs are leaving the Chandler pack to form their own pack elsewhere. On top of it, as the newly formed pack is leaving the Chandler pack's land, Aunt Dot's trailer is destroyed in an explosion. In order to defeat Charybdis, Cam must follow clues that have been left for her in her attempt to finally capture him and free her loved ones.I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Cam and Cord's relationship grew and how Cam adjusted to her place in the new pack. There were some major revelations for Cam and it was nice to see her get some closure. Her final confrontation with Charybdis was nerve wracking, but I liked the way everything worked out. If you’re already reading this series, you’re going to want to read this book. If you're not already reading the series, start with a first one it's definitely worth it.

Great Ending - Or is it?
I went back and reread the first two books and I'm so glad I did. The final book in the series had me on the edge of my seat as we moved closer and closer to the thrilling conclusion.Or is it? Starting with the Black Dog Series, Edwards is starting to pull the pieces together of a loosely-woven plot that is starting to take some shape. I legit squeal when I see old friends, as I did at the end of this book, and the ending makes you beg for the next installment featuring Dell.

Enjoyed this series immensely!
Unique world building. I am enthralled by the magical characters especially the gemini's but all the shifters and fae. My reminiscent 16 year old self sometimes found it hard to believe the patience of cord and the reluctance of cam. Seems to me that hormones would have been raging with the mate instinct far more than was portrayed. The tale was well done however and I will continue to follow the Lorimar pack and the Wild Hunt with great enthusiasm! This one is on my radar.

Mystery
We never really got to know what Charybdis was. The romance for in the way more in this series, being as much, if not more, the focus than the actual mystery.

Wow
What a ride. But it’s not the end. It’s a beginning. More branches to the family added. More mysterious happenings unfolding. Yea us readers; along for the exhilarating ride.

Well worth the time and money
It has been years since I bought a book that wasn't an anthology for 99 cents. I just had to finish this trilogy. It was well worth the money!!!

Love this series (spoiler in review)
Really enjoying these books. The characters are diverse and well crafted. The plot is engaging without being overly complex and it is just really well written. I was super excited to see Rook return in time for the next book. Little bit in love with him haha

A solid series finale.
I really loved this conclusion to Cam's story. BUT I did think her recovery at the end was really fast and didn't feel realistic. And her fears about Graeson weren't really resolved. And Lori's role in the story was ... kinda odd, and felt surplus to requirement. Did Cam REALLY have to accidentally kill her on top of her already ginormous trauma? That's just cruelty. But I enjoyed the story, loved the characters (and seeing Thierry again!), and I like where the Lorimar pack is headed! A solid series finale.
