A commerce raider on a displacement of only 10,000 ton, she became famous as a "Pocket Battleship." With heavier armor than her sister ships she was also the first German ship to be fitted with a form of radar. From September 1939 until December 1939 she raided allied shipping in the South Atlantic and Indian Ocean, sinking nine ships totaling 50,089 tons.

Excellent
Very few issues with flashing on the 2 large sprues. Parts are well defined but a decent pair of model clippers is needed to rehearse them from sprue cleanly. Generally fits together well, and I am pleased with the result (photo provided). Plastic color is very light so painting is essential, abd a few parts are so small they snapped. But overall recommended model of a storied vessel.

I bought this kit to use as a measurement guide
It is unlikely that this kit will ever be completed, as I am using it to help proportion a larger model for radio control. I have, however, built the Airfix Graf Spee before and found it to be probably their best ship kit for tidiness of mould and detail.

This is a very detailed model given that it is quite a small scale at 1-600 scale
