Excellent Tripod for Bird viewing via Scope
This is a great tripod, particularly for Birding. Movement up and down is fluid and easy. (Can be adjusted based on your desire/needs). Much more stable than lighter tripods, which is a plus in more windy conditions. We thought weight might be a problem, but it turned out that it is not. Wish there was an easy way to put a shoulder strap on the tripod itself to make carrying long distances easier ( we tied a strap to tripod to do this, but wish a more stable, built in approach was available.

Amazing value, great build
I expected a decent tripod given the favorable reviews, but this tripod exceeds my high-ish expectations. I expected plastic knobs for the price, but it's pretty much 100% aluminum. I have yet to really put it through the paces, but thus far I'm impressed with it's design, build, and appearance. If it isn't as durable as I now expect it to be, I'll update this review accordingly, but out of the gate, it deserves nothing short of a solid 5 stars. Especially given that you'd likely spend an additional $150 on a comparable Manfrotto or similar.

Support from company is imposible.
A good tripod but I had a problem with a part. Leg angle adjustment click fell out and was lost. Trying to find where to get a replacement is impossible. The Caer site so far is of little use. I really would like to fix this but I have had no luck. There has got to be somewhere I can find this part. The Caer site is good for explaining their products but no help whatsoever on locating a replacement part. This is an expensive tripod so I don't want to throw it away.

Good for 6 months than falls apart
I really like this tripod at first. It felt high quality and sturdy. After about 6 months the legs wouldn’t stay up. But they sent me a replacement. If you don’t get a great tripod at first, contact them because they have a great customer service.

Best Value/Quality to Dollar spent ratio you'll find
I bought this tripod for work production and when it arrived I almost bought one for myself (even though I don't need one) because the quality is absolutely "top-shelf" and the fluid head movement is the quality of other brands that I have used that cost $500 to $600 dollars more.Get this tripod before they figure out it is such a steal and they raise the prices!P.S. (I still might just buy one for myself even though I don't "need" one...yeah, it's that awesome!)

Amazing tripod (mostly) with a fatal flaw...cheap plastic used for securing tripod leg position
I really wish I could like this tripod but due to either design or packaging, both units are received arrived broken. one of the latches on the tripod leg butts up against a knob on the fluid head which apparently during shipping causes the plastic of the leg clip to break. when I open the first unit I discovered this and immediately emailed the company. They sent a replacement out no questions asked which was very nice, but the new (second) tripod was in the exact same condition. Something tells me I am not the only person this has happened to. So, sadly what would otherwise be an awesome tripod - it is sturdy, the fluid head is extremely smooth, and all of the adjustments are spot-on - becomes something I cannot recommend due to the design\ packaging problems.

very high quality tripod
I looked for a long time to buy a tripod under $200 that was to be used in an office/studio, but light enough to travel with. I don't mean to travel on a plane with or backpack, but in your vehicle, although it does have a monopod setup and that is very portable. It does fold up to a small size with legs folding 180 degrees and that could be taken on a plane easily, but it's not real light like a tripod designed solely for travel. I found so many tripods online that had complaints about problems right of the box because of lack of quality control, poor design or inferior parts that I got discouraged, but Cayer had no real complaints and the one I remember was a small problem that Cayer immediately responded to in contacting that buyer. On setting up this tripod, I immediately notice it is of extremely high quality and I mean every part of it. I've been around tools all my life and it's easy to recognize quality - it's usually throughout the device and not in just one part. If they have a lightweight travel tripod available when I start looking, they will be at the top of my choices. In fact, anything they sell, I bet is of equal quality. I know I'll have this tripod for a longtime. It's exactly what I wanted.

Great product for lil money
For the price its going to be pretty hard to beat this set up The tripod has lots of Adjustment can get level almost anywhere. The fluid head has smooth movements way better then most your cheaper ones its not Quite as smooth as your more expensive heads that run $150-$300 just for a head but at this price agin hard to beat!
