Leaks fine dust
Lots of suction that worked well with a 15" planer. Not so good with a sander, it leaked a lot of fine dust between the plastic collection bag and metal body of the frame. Tried tightening the metal band holding the bag and adjusting the bag but the leakage continued.

Overall Good Quality
The item arrived very quickly. Well built unit and all parts were spot on. Everything fit together correctly. I would recommend using one of the bolts to run through all threaded parts. This will make going together much easier. I had an issue with mine but General International was very quick to resolve, excellent Customer Service. I would recommend this product.

Looks Different than Photos, Motor was Defective
I purchased this dust collector despite other negative review. That review gives this unit one star after a shipping/packing problems - which didn't actually describe the tool quality. I figured it could still be a good deal. Also, in Spring 2021 dust collectors better than 1250 CFMs are *very* hard to find. Everything is back-ordered for months at Woodcraft, Rockler, Grizzly, Harbor Freight, and most specialty stores that sell these things.I'll lead by saying that it arrived promptly and undamaged. All parts were present and assembly was reasonably straightforward. I'll also lead in saying that I've reached out to manufacturer to try and resolve the situation - FIVE different times on Thursday and Friday AM. This was via e-mail, phone calls, and via Amazon's problem resolutions center. Their 2-year warranty help line listed in the owner's manual isn't in service. Their customer service center closes at 4 PM EST which is 3PM in my timezone. To be fair, I contacted them on a Thursday, and they did actually respond on Monday morning. By that time I had already given up and requested a return. I disassembled, packed, and dropped it off at UPS on Saturday after I picked up my replacement from Woodcraft. If they had responded to me before COB on Friday, I might have kept this machine. Here are the problems:1) I received a box clearly marked as Model 10-110 M1. However, what was inside the box does not look like the advertised dust collector. In fact, what was in the box looks identical to the 10-105 M1 1.5 HP unit with two leg supports and curving neck between the motor and the mount for the bags. It also came with a brittle-feeling plastic 6 inch to 4 inch "Y" and the not the painted metal one shown in the photo of the 10-110 M1. That metal "Y" was one of the reasons I chose this collector.2) During assembly, I found that the fit of the some of the pieces was poor. The legs didn't quite line up to the doughnut body, the rubber gaskets for both ends of the neck were a bit "off" and made it very difficult to get some of the bolts to thread-in properly. One bolt on the neck can't be installed because of the angle formed at the neck. One of the screws for the on/of switch is stripped-out. When I installed the legs components, the bolt holes were about an inch higher than the component that holds the bag and filter. I had to loosen all the bolts in the base and neck to get enough flexibility to attach the support legs. Also, on both ends of the "neck" the bolts screw into threads in the sheet metal flanges - which can strip out easily. The included bolts are also too short to accept nuts, so if you stripped out the threads on the flanges, you'd need to go buy longer replacement bolts and nuts to secure the parts.3) Although Amazon.com lists this as 220v dust collector, it is clearly not a 220v unit, nor is it possible to switch the wiring to 220v - as you can with many electric motors. The motor ID plate is clearly marked as a 2 HP *110v* 15 Amp motor. It comes with a standard 110v 15 amp power plug that will fit into any 15 or 20 amp duplex receptacle. That was disappointing as I wanted lower voltage, higher power benefits of a 220v motor. This leads me to the most serious problem...4) It doesn't work! It won't switch on. Moreover... it actually trips the breaker on *any* circuit, I plug it into. I tried in on the 15 amp for my old old dust collector and the circuit trips. I try it on a 20 amp GFCI-protected circuit and both the breaker *and* GFCI trip. The motor does *nothing* at all. no hum, certainly no spin. Just an instantaneous failure flip of the circuit breaker in my main box. The impeller does turn smoothly if I use my hand, so it's not a seized up motor. I even looked under the switch to see if there was a frayed wire or other problem and there's no obvious wiring issue.I had the same issue even if I bypassed the on/off switch.I performed a test with a multi-meter and found that there are infinite Ohms across the hot and neutral wires coming from the motor. That means that the windings or some other electrical connection inside the motor is shorted out. There should be some resistance, but infinite OHMs means that the hot and neutral lines are actually touching inside the motor. It means that this brand new motor is defective out of the box. Also, the wires coming from the motor housing into the switchbox are *very* short - as in they barely allow you to even remove the switch to inspect the wiring.I remain frustrated by the experience and the time I wasted waiting for it to arrive, assembling, testing, disassembling, packing, and driving this 45kg box over to UPS. Plus the fun of swapping on four wheels and tires on my "hauler" wagon, so I could take the GI collector to UPS and then go pick up the replacement collector I bought locally. To give credit where it is due, I was contacted today (Monday) by a rep from GI who was ready to send me *just* the replacement motor (instead of requiring me to ship the whole thing back as the other reviewer said). The rep just wanted to verify which model I had purchased so they shipping the right motor to me. *THAT* was what I was hoping to hear on Friday. I might have kept this unit had they responded more quickly. As it was, I lost 3 full days of woodworking setting up, testing, taking down, and replacing this defective unit. I have paid *significantly* more for a dust collector from Powermatic (*twice* as much) as it was the only one available at the local store.I wish I could give you a rating on performance, noise level, etc. for this DC, but the fact that it was defective out of the box means that I can only comment on the physical machine and the service that GI was ready to provide me. I've bumped the rating accordingly.

Missing pieces
Missing pieces and it seems like the instructions are either old or for a different model. Hope to hear back from them so I can use it.....wasn’t expecting this from this brand.

Well built and efficient - good buy!
Boy this thing really sucks! Does exactly as promised with gusto. Came in need of assembly, went together quickly, all of the parts were there and they all fit properly. Seems to be well constructed and built to last for many years.

Leaks fine dust from around the joints.
The system works as advertised. It leaks fine dust from nearly every joint. I have to find a way to seal up the joints.

Good:• price I purchased was on sale cheaper than most• works well when it works• quick technical supportBad:• leaky. There are several joints that blow out dust• warranty or support deceptive.Overall I had no problems other than the leaks which some caulk fixed. I had only gone through 1 bag of dust and soon after it stopped working, kept blowing the circuit. I called customer support since warranty says lifetime for hobbyists and no apparent reference to electrical. Support says electrical not covered and would cost me a hefty price to repair.Based on that. I cannot recommend this to anyone. Motor is expensive but apparently not covered. The only thing left is propeller and filter of value that warranty covers. I would spend a few extra bucks and get a nicer better built more reliable unit.
