Quality camera! This is easily the best consumer 180/360 camera on the market. 5.7k is the base level you should be looking at and this camera delivers that. Lots of great features and options but easy to use. Great results in well lit locations. The software/app is also very easy to use. The next step up in this field is £4000+ so this camera is great value for money too. Highly recommended!

Edit: April 2024 To connect to camera with my smartphone, I have to put the phone in airplane mode and then restart WiFi and Bluetooth. Put the password generated from the Insta evo App (which isn't avaliable anymore). I already have a Samsung Gear 360 2016, and a Qandao Koocam. The Samsung Gear is the easier to use, but Qoocam has the 180 3D. BOTH have a long workflow. This is a long wired download of gigabytes of data from the camera to pc, long process & render on your desktop pc, and then wired transfer to my oculus go VR headset. The insta360 evo app installation and connection for my android phone was A PAIN to setup, because you have to follow these steps ( thanks to reviewer on play store for the insta360 ego app): Jimi Groce 14 July 2019 If you're having trouble connecting for the first time, turn off your data and Bluetooth. Turn on wireless, connect to the camera, then switch to your home network to register. This is only necessary the first time. Once installed, the insta 360 ego is awesome. The camera is easy to use, app is easy to use and WIRELESSLY connects to the Oculus Go. So I had family round today, shot 360 and 3d VR for of them 10 minutes. Then we all watched the playback on the Oculus Go straight after, and it was WOWs all around. One issue, is the audio recording is NOT top specification. The battery only lasts 60 minutes. On the plus side, the camera is tiny, so very portable, and the mini stand is fine for my recordings. For me, archiving family occasions, personal vlogs, and 3d library, the insta evo 3d is very good.

This is an excellent 360 camera. The results can be stunning in both 360 mode and in 180 3D mode. The app to control is good enough. The big problem with using the app to film is that the wifi range is too small. It is impossible to get far enough away so as to not be filmed. Other than that, filming with the app is good. If you use it without the app then there is a Multi second delay from pressing the shutter to taking the picture. This enables you to get the right view. My only gripe about this is that the timer should be configurable, as 1second would normally be plenty. To sum up this is an excellent camera with a few minor flaws that can be lived with. If they could extend the WiFi range then it would be perfect for me. I have had no luck with WiFi extenders.

This is one classy product. Easy to use and excellent results in all modes.

Excellent and great fun. I think 3D and 360 cameras are still in their infancy and in 3 years I suspect this will be completely obsolete, but in the market right now it is a good quality and enjoyable device to use to snap shots for a VR headset. Works great with Oculus Go.

I sent this back due to the fact that it felt like old technology! No screen, can only use it with a dodgy wifi connection to your mobile phone. Images are seriously distorted due to the massive wide angle lens. It's one of those devices that seem amazing and very simple to use in the adverts, until you get one and realise it is just a faff about to get working and the results are poor. Quality isn't great either, certainly wouldn't call it 4k. In addition, for what ever reason, I lost most of my videos due to the files being corrupt!

This camera is really easy to use (2 buttons). The software really stabilises the videos. After Cropping and saving. It played fine on my Oculus VR Gear although It does not show a thumbnail (3 white flashing dots on a black background means it's going to play). When I watch the 3D videos on the Gear it really is like being there. Haven't used it in 360 yet. I prefer the mechanical lens change from 360 to 180 3d. There are some Insta 360 EVO (3D 180) on youtube to see the quality.

I had to return my first amazon order due to a faulty device. But this is my second version of this camera and it is a great device. Insta360 cameras are very good and enable the user to capture so much more of life that just was not possible before.

A couple little warnings, the latch can be a little tricky to lock it flat for 180 3D work. Learn the proper distance to shoot in 3D, getting too close to objects gives you a weird, eye crossing, somewhat uncomfortable, view when viewing in a headset for 3D....if you are new to shooting in 3D, there is a little learning curve to shooting properly. Moving the camera, height of the camera, angle of the camera, distance from objects.....nothing that you can't learn and overcome. A little trial and error, and you can get it down pretty quick. Don't be curious and photo yourself naked! (unless you are really attractive, or just into that sort of thing) Me, personally....I will NEVER do THAT again!!!! That was freaking scary...How in the world did I ever get a date?!? We will chalk that one up to "lesson learned!" ...some things just can't be unseen..... Resolution, crispness, and sharpness of photos....perhaps a little too good..... just say'n. This was, and still is, an awesome little camera. I see no need to "upgrade" to the newer model just yet as this camera still serves my needs well. Have had this camera for a few years now, and it still works flawlessly. Battery life, well....it could be better.....not going to lie there, but....you can always run an external battery pack for longer run time, as I also do with my OneX. Image stabilization is A-mazing!!!!!! Insta just does wonders! Great little company! Customer service is really great too, they really do try to work with you to resolve issues.....just be mindful, if you break it, and have to send it in for repair, it will take a little time. Don't forget where the company is. Even if you aren't using this in a professional setting, it is great for family events, interviews with loved ones, etc....it's as if you are creating a time capsule and placing them inside. Or, yourself, for that matter. Create a message for your loved ones that will last the sands of time. It's rather bitter-sweet if you think about it. We are beyond the age of flat 2D photos and videos.....now, it really is almost as if you are sitting in the same room together.

Telecamera di progetto molto interessante in quanto unisce le capacita 360 gradi con il 3D. Sul mercato esistono pochi prodotti come questo e sicuramente vale il suo prezzo. In modalità 360 si nota un piccolo problema di stitching dovuto alla natura fisica del progetto ma globalmente le prestazioni sono buone. Acquisto raccomandato.
