MakerFocus Wemos 18650-Battery Shield V3 ESP32 for Raspberry Pi and Arduino

Didn't receive the product advertised in the pictures, but it works and does the job so I'm still giving it points there. The item text description describes the product I received, but the advertised board had features I would have appreciated for my project. The board I got is rather dumbed down compared to the one they advertise in the pictures.

I had the exact problem as "Donnie"... Found out that these boards can act as a heater as one of the chips started to spit out a nice little flame after I put the battery in.. and the socket holds that battery works real good, makes it hard to pull the battery out if you have to in a pinch - due to fire, smoke or some other catastrophic event. I purchased two of these with the intent of connecting a Solar panel and putting a Pi in the field, now some months later I find they are faulty or can't handle the power from the batteries I purchased, either way the did not work as expected.

Made loud buzzing when operating, did not properly charge any of my li ion 18650 cells.
