Protects precision Watch movements easily.
For years we used watchmaker papers that came in small squares of a thousand sheets per little box that you wrapped around your thumb and forefinger to protect the watch components from rust and fingerprints. It was tricky learning to use those papers but that was all that we had to use to solve the problems.

Nice to get a larger size finger cot.
Handy for larger fingers, doesn’t cut off circulation.

Sizing may not matter as much as you think...
I have small hands and got these in size small after reading reviews. The size small definitely doesn't run large. To give you an idea of my fingers, the base of my thumb and pointer fingers measure a little over 2 inches wide with my pointer finger measuring over 2.5 inches in length.I've found the size small to be too long on most fingers and uncomfortably tight around the base of my thumb (which is the finger I needed it for), but it doesn't really matter because I just pull it on and cut at the band on the bottom (the band is the thicker part that will cut off your circulation). The length is adjustable even if you don't cut it (it just rolls up or stretches out), so I wouldn't worry about length. Because it fits so snugly on my entire thumb (and most of my other fingers) I can rip off the bottom to allow for circulation and comfort without worrying about it sliding off my finger. Since it's too long for my fingers anyways, this works well for me (it doesn't matter as long as it's long enough to go past your knuckle). It doesn't let any water in when washing dishes or taking a shower. It's not completely comfortable because it's tight, but since I need it to be tight (i have to keep my thumbnail dry due to an injury) I'm not sure it would work as well in size medium for me. Anyways, it's comfortable enough that I forget about it after awhile. If you're getting them for something other than keeping a wound dry you probably wouldn't need them as tight, so if you've got small hands I'd order a medium. I'd probably go with a large if you're a man with normal sized hands and you don't need them super tight. As far as durability goes, I haven't found these to tear too easily. I've been using them while prepping food (with sharp knives) and doing various chores and I have yet to have any of them break open or tear while wearing them.UPDATE: Apparently size does matter? i finally ran out of these and recently ended up buying them again in size medium, cause for some reason they no longer offer size small. They seem like a totally different product in size medium! The size medium is a lot more comfortable (they don't cut off my circulation), but they also seem A LOT shorter, possibly b/c they're just not tight enough to stretch out. They might work for people with bigger fingers, but the medium size is not tight enough to be waterproof on me, so I won't be buying them again. I'm not even sure I'd buy the size small again, because like I said, it seems like a different product now (who knows if they'd send the same version!).

Fits perfectly!
I wear a size 13 in rings and these fit wonderfully. I use these when making polymer clay earrings, resin projects or when I use super glue. They work like a charm! Although there was 2 gloves that ripped easily and it could have been due to the almond shape nails I have. Other than that perfect uses every time!

These cover your whole finger - you have to roll them up, then they become like a regular cot

Not pre-rolled
These work OK, but would be much more convenient if they were pre-rolled. I was surprised to find they weren't, as 1) I've never seen finger cots that weren't, and 2) the last time I purchased this exact item, they were.

Still getting accustomed
The cots will help my split skin on my thumb and fingers when used in conjunction with a salve. I have small hands and bought the medium. I think that was a good size as I didn't want circulation to be cut off. They take getting use to ...I may revise my thoughts after a few weeks.

Coved19
Purchased these to use at the debt machine during the coved19 pandemic. They do the job I was hoping for as gloves were not available. After reading how many people do not wash their hands after going to the washroom I will probably use them even after the pandemic is over.

Good for big fingers
I had to buy big finger cots as some of my fingers are big and the medium ones didn't work.. I wish they would sell a mixed bag of small, med and large so I wouldn't have to buy all of the separate..

Great for thumbs
Bought these for thumbs with bandages on, & they fit great for that. Most other sizes in large are not big enough to go over bandaids or bandages but these do.
