Stencil 101 Stationery: 18 Stencil Designs Novelty Book – April 7, 2010

This is a great little kit... Even when I ran out of cards, I created more with the help of the contents in this package. It's very handy for handmade cards and crafts...

Now that stenciling has become popular again, I will be using these stencils to decorate some cards. I have some homemade modeling paste to try out with these.

I thought this would be a book of ideas with a good selection of stencils, but it's just some cards and envelopes and a disappointing selection of stencils.

The stencils are nice and the cards are high quality but I wish this came with more instructions on how to put cards together, what paint or ink to use. There are some beautiful designs pictured and I would like to make them but don't know what specific products were used. Also, I wasn't aware that there wasn't a book included with this kit. It is only stencils, cards, and an instructional holder, no book. I wish i would have got the stencil 101 how to book instead.

This isn't a book so much as a craft kit, complete with five stencil sheets (altogether 18 different stencil designs- will list them below) and a handful of cards and envelopes.The stencils include:(sentiments)- happy birthday/ happy holidays- your'e invited- i love you- thank you- congratulations(images)- buck- masked mexican wrestler dude- cassette tape- star- bird- wasp- bare branch- pinecone-y branchand then a sheet of four designs (flourish, 2 different repeating geometric patterns with registration marks, and some sort of wreath-y thing)The stencils are small- compact enough to fit on the front of a little card, so these are not stencils to use to cover your walls or anything.Nice gift.

I'm not sure about the other reviewer, but this is pretty clearly a craft kit. I got this for my birthday this year, and LOVE using it. I didn't know much about Ed Roth or his graffiti style stencils, so this was a fun introduction. The stencils are cute and easy to use, the cards are nice and heavy, good quality, and perfect for a beginner. This was a great gift, and I've used it a lot since receiving it.

These are great for decorating lots of things. Great value for the amount you get.you also get cards and envelopes so you can get going straight away.
