Ideas & How-To: Storage & Organizing (Better Homes and Gardens Home)

I was looking for ways to get double duty out of the small space of a rv. I am recreating the idea on page 135 for my office on wheels as my first inspiration from this book. We took out our existing small dining table with 2 lg. not needed benches. In it's place is going a vanity cabinet with lots of storage, but instead of a sink and top, just an oversize top will go on to become a eating/work island with storage underneath. We also took off the front long, top fake drawer and used the idea on page 135 and created a pull out drawer/table to have a easy "extra" table for meal preparation and eating if the top space is currently be used by our computers. This clever idea will give us two tables in the same amount of space. I loved it!

Well, Ok, it's all about organizing of course, but I was expecting a bit more clever ideas instead of square cabinets and selves. I mean was OK but not inspiring!

great book, lots of helpful ideas. Got me inspired on repurposing many other items, at a less costly manner.

I always have liked Home and Gardens publications, however this book has been disappointing because I expected much much more do it yourself storage projects. Living in a tiny house, I was looking for innovative storage ideas that I could do myself for not a lot of money. There are only a handful in here. Most of it is purchased storage. Their magazine and website has MORE do it yourself ideas than this book. Although there are very nice pictures of well organized rooms, closets, kitchens etc.... a person could find that in many magazines on the newsstand. I'm going to have to find a better book for me.

Not as many pictures of supplies as I'd hoped.

This book has nice pictures but it's not really what I was looking for, not much written content at all.

I bought this book thinking it would be full of helpful and creative storage solutions for small spaces. On reading it the photographs seemed to have been taken within the same generously proportioned house throughout, they were clear, the place looked enviably organised and the solutions offered were sensible enough if perhaps suggestive of money not being an issue for storage problems. I realised this wasn't the book for me and the flatlet I am moving to when making use of the spare room was offered as a solution and it guaranteed its own return when I encountered the suggestion of creating a shower in utility spaces for muddy boots and dirty dogs. How the other half etc....

Not that there was something new for me in it. But it does have some good ideas, pictures and recommendations.

I Love this book! It is almost brand new. Wonderfull for my collection. I cant wait to read it all.
