GOSOPIN Women Bohemian V Neck Short Sleeve Floral Maxi Dress Small Green

First, I ordered this in green in a small, I'm normally a 4 in US dress sizes, 5'5", 130 lb, slightly pear shaped. I really wanted to like this- I own quite a few caftans I've purchased in India, Turkey, and Dubai, and I've been wanting a nice green slim one for awhile. Sadly, this wasn't it. The green color was MUCH darker in person than on my screen, and a muddier green too, so that from more than a few paces you couldn't tell what color it was, except dark. Not very festive. Also, the shoulders and neck were too wide on me, and the sleeves very wide, giving the top a sloppy look. I also had been hoping the thread on the embroidery had a metallic touch, but it was just white. The good things about it: the fabric, while not great feeling to the hand, hung beautifully on my body. It also was surprisingly cool, which would have been great here in Florida! Also, the embroidery shape was very flattering, and the length was mid-ankle, so it worked with flats and heels. The side slits we're higher than I expected on this kind of product (I usually have to lengthen them), but still perfectly modest, a couple inches above my knee. The neckline slit was SUPER low on me, showing where my plunging bra met in the middle! Not sure if that's good or bad, haha. All in all I may try this in a different color and plan to alter the sleeves for a slimmer fit, if the neckline fits better. If you're broad shouldered, go for it.

I am not impressed by this dress. The material is very stiff and too thick for a spring or summer dress. I also could not get the neckline to stay in place no matter how many times and ways I tried. One side would flip in and the other would flip out and it just looked sloppy. It’s a slim straight fit with zero give in the material, so not for curvy bodies. The green color is pretty and unique.
