Love this cookbook. It has beautiful pictures.

I've read about Delia Smith "cookery" books in "English Home" magazine for years. So maybe that was too big a build-up and I was bound to be disappointed. Or maybe this one is just suffering from the ills that often plague follow-up books...just not as good as the original. In any event, I found most of these recipes to be either somewhat contirved or just downright unappealing.

I have been told to follow her directions to the last detail and you'll have a perfect dish. I tried to do that and it worked! Beautiful photography. I wish I had purchased this book in hard cover instead of paperback ... it's a keeper!

Usual quality recipes from a great cook!

Delia Smith is simply wonderful but at times her attempts to save the home cook from overwrought techniques can lead to attempted over-management. I prefer not to have to wade through Smith's directives to "put that pan away now; you don't need it anymore" etc.At times she contradicts her own charter, calling for, for example, the use of fresh tomatoes in winter - a directive which, the fruit not being in season, is no friend to the cook; the result will be neither flavoursome or cheap. At times Smth's attempts to save the cook from effort are a false economy. Nonetheless, Smith is a wonderful, wonderful, and most giving cook. Her recipes are fabulous and bursting with flavour - at times exquisite, and always, always, unpretentious. As a cook, she is vastly superior to most celebrity chefs, Jamie Oliver included, if not most of all.

Ordered this as a Christmas present for my daughter, she was looking through mine and found a few recipes that she liked.Delia is one of my favourites. If you are looking for great recipes that work any of Delias do.It said second hand but condition looks new.Dispatch was very quick.

I already have this book and would highly recommend it if your a foodie. I bought it for my son who loves to cook and lives away from home. He is very pleased to have it and had enjoyed cooking some of the recipes already. Book in good condition.

Delia is always Delia: so many recipes, easy and delicious, in particular Vegetables and pudding sections

Great book, I bought this copy to replace one I had given away but then found I missed too much. This one is a little yellowed at the edges, but in good condition.

Love my Delia! I had one, which got ruined. So glad I could fine one again. Have few of my favourites in this book.
