Q: Do you have instructions how to install it? could i see them in advance so i know if i can do this?

I installed it myself (average skill, not an expert by any means) and installation took about 10 minutes. As shown in the item illustration, the entire drain assembly consists of the drain (the flange and pipe are a single piece), a large nut that screws onto the drain pipe to secure it to the sink from the bottom, two gaskets (one thin, one thick) that seal the drain flange and another gasket that the nut tightens against from below the sink, and the stopper. Installation consists of removing the nut and lower gasket from the drain assembly, inserting the drain assembly (with the provided gaskets under the flange) into the sink drain opening from the top, reinstalling the gasket and nut from the bottom, and reattaching the p-trap. Since it comes with two gaskets that fit together to seal the drain flange in the sink (plus a separate gasket for the bottom), no plumber's putty is required. The nut that holds the drain assembly is large, so I was able to sufficiently compress the gaskets just by hand tightening the nut, but a wrench can be used if desired. Really a pretty simple installation (much easier than removing the old drain). Looks nice and doesn't leak.

Q: Exactly what is the dimension of the cap. I have ordered 2 already and the "cap" is more like a BATHTUB size and not a vessel

The metal part of the cap (stopper?) on mine (chrome with overflow) measures 1 25/64 inch in diameter.
