Buy this one for overhead foaming
I needed to spray expanding foam upwards. I was having trouble finding spray guns or disposable nozzles that could spray upwards. This one works great in that position and I am very happy I found it. I have since bought a couple more cans for filling cracks as I find them. Note: be sure to trim the nozzle just enough to let the foam out but not too much to let air in. This nozzle is reusable days later if properly opened. I did have a can where I cut the nozzle wrong (my fault) and so a couple days later when I needed more foaming goodness I unscrewed the nozzle, put on gloves, and used the rest up like a can of Cool Whip. Worked find right out of the can and I was able to save the rest.

Seals holes well, and seals itself up so it doesn't dry out.
This worked well to fill in some holes in my house where cable lines were run. What I thought was really great was the fact that the nozzle has a small plug at the end of it that gets retracted back when you squeeze the trigger. When you release the trigger, the little plug moves forward and reseals the nozzle so the remaining unused product doesn't dry out before you need it again.

Love it! Finally I can reuse it over and over and it's way less messy! Here's my tips...
I wrote this same review for the gaps and cracks version, but it applies to the Window and Door version just the same. I've used a lot of both and here's my impressions and tips for using it!I’ve used a lot of these “smart dispensers” now and thought I’d share tips for using it. First of all, after using the old straw for years this new smart straw is awesome. I’m not dripping foam all over the place anymore and I honestly can keep using the same can over and over. (some of my cans have lasted over 30 days by the way). Here’s my tips:Make sure you thread the dispenser all the way onto the valve (see my first photo), like to the point where you start turning the valve itself. Do not unwind it! If you unwind it after you’ve started using it, the pressure in the straw might unwind the straw on it’s own and make a mess. Be aware of that! You can break them. It is made of plastic. The weak point is where the moving straw part meets the part that screws onto the valve. (see the spot circled in my second photo) I think another reviewer showed that same location because it was leaking foam there. That’s because it broke there. It only breaks if you put a lot of force on the end of the straw. If you are going to force the straw into a crack, or are going to press hard on the tip, use your other hand to support the end of straw so it doesn’t tweak that weak spot while you're spraying. In order to get the most consistent bead of foam, I’ve found that if I let up on the trigger slowly at the end of each spray I won’t get a gush out of the straw on the next pull. Letting off slowly releases the pressure in the straw so it doesn’t spurt out on the next pull.Hope that helps. I love this smart straw and I can’t believe they didn’t come out with something like this years ago!

Must read for replacement windows
This review would be a 5 star but the tip is too thick for putting it in tight cracks 1/8” of windows. I’ve been putting in my own replacement windows and if it’s a tight gap it’s hard to get the tip in. I did buy same brand at local hardware store with small diameter tip, so I know they make them.HERE IS A TIP first caulk inside of window gap after installing window, if you don’t it could expand to inside of the window and is nearly impossible to remove.Another tip. You do not need to tape window or brick to keep this foam off of it. Take a butter knife and as it expands, and it expands for nearly 15-20 min, burst the expanding foam almost like a bubble and it will keep it from coming out. DO NOT spray this and leave. You will come out and it be all over the window. I made that mistake on the first window thinking this kind didn’t expand that much but it does expand it just doesn’t get as hard as other non window foams. ALSO if it gets on the window plastic IMMEDIATELY wipe it off and it will come off. Paper towel is fine. But if you wait any time at all you cannot remove it. People say you can but you can’t. I tried on the first window and nothing gets this off if you let it stay on there for longer than a few seconds. I have reused cans before by taking off the tips and use the new tip from a new can later on.

Much improved dispensing straw design make this worth buying for small jobs
The smart dispenser is a great improvement over previous designs for this product. As advertised, it allows you to start and stop the dispensing of foam easily, and even allows you to re-start days later. Prior designs of this product didn't allow you to do this (or do it as cleanly and neatly), requiring you to either use or lose the product on the same day, once started. It is a great, inexpensive alternative to using Dow's professional foam gun and Great Stuff Pro cans if you have smaller jobs and don't need as much control over the bead size of the foam. I'm very glad to have this option!

Non-expanding is a lie
It totally expanded and ran down my door and had to be scraped off, which was NOT a pleasant or easy experience. If you need this because it "doesn't expand" then...get something else. Otherwise, though, it insulates wonderfully
