I love that I can see the water level unlike the other fountains I have owned. It is completely quiet. The filters are two pieces that pull apart and probably are just fine but are pricier and I am concerned about the pump clogging up (had problems with other brands) so I am ordering the Mr. Coffee filters which are reported to work by others. A pack of 24 for around 11 dollars on Amazon. I will update as time passes.Important Addendum: The Mr. Coffee filters are great, perfect fit HOWEVER make sure you turn the flow of the water fountain down lower. (I didn't know it had a switch for that either and it overflowed). On the back of the water pump there is a sliding switch. Turn it down or it will overflow with the Mr. Coffee filters. They are a snugger fit and work great, but cause the water to filter more slowly. I have been keeping an eye on the quality of the water and it seems very clear. Also, please note that according to the info the pump disassembles for cleaning. I haven't done that yet but I will update when I do.Second Addendum: Pump cleans easily. PLEASE NOTE that the Mr. Coffee Filters seem to fit too snugly. I had one too many overflows so I am switching back to the filters made for this fountain. Live and Learn lol. And so does one of my cats. It's been only 5 days so far so my older cat hasn't quite gotten into it yet. It's easy to assemble and I love that it's clear so you can see if it's getting funky in there. The filters aren't very impressive so I ordered some of the Mr. Coffee round style ones and will be switching to them. Any added foam media would work as an addition to them if I have problems with fur or food ending up in there. Keeping the fountain in a separate location than where the cats are fed is working well to keep food out so far. The pump is silent, but there is a bit of splish splashing noise from the faucet pouring into the reservoir. I find it relaxing. I looked at cat fountains for a long time before buying this one and I'm very happy with the price, ease of cleaning and performance so far.Update- Second cat has gotten into it now after a week and a half. It's a hit with both of them. I change the water every 3 days and give the entire thing a good scrub once every 7 days. I wipe down all surfaces with rubbing alcohol and set it out to dry. This was money well spent in my opinion since the cats are absolutely drinking more water than ever before.

This is a good product. I like that it's clear because you can see when it needs to be clean. It dosen't have a lot of parts so less to clean but easy. The noise is very low. The things I dislike about this product are the following: the pump and connector hose is weak so they don't stay together well. The pump also doesn't sit flat on the bottom of the water pan. The filter housing doesn't lock well so over time I can see it getting loose and not staying put. I wish the fountain had some sort of blue LED light. Ik cats can see at night but mine are getting old and they're having trouble seeing in darkness. Overall with a few minor changes to the product it's working out well.

Okay so I have 4 kitties that are all obsessed with playing with their water dish. I waited 2 months to review just so to be sure, but I knew the first few days this was going to be awesome. This is my 4th fountain, and 7th water dish. I have tried just about everything but I've FINALLY found the one! My babies like to stick their paws in the water and try to pull, dig, or drag the dish around my kitchen. I would daily find wet puddles and empty overturned water dishes. This fountain is a little miracle! Its super quiet, powerful in circulation, and keeps just enough water for drinking, but not enough for them to play in. They can't hook it and drag it like they have been able to do with others. All 4 seem to like it and it's easy enough for me to fill and keep full. I love the filter it uses and it's super easy to clean. My only complaint is that it's a bit tough to get apart for the cleaning, but that's so minor compared to all of the good! I would 100% recommend this and if anything ever happens to mine I would buy again!

Two cats use this. I bought this for the cat that prefers water from the sink faucet, he doesn't use the flowing fountain feature as I thought he would. He does drink from this bowl just fine though. My other cat always had problems drinking from bowls because he couldn't see where the water level was and always stuck his nose in it. That cat now drinks from the edge of this bowl, as the water flows at/over the edge and he drinks from the flat platform on the back. I dont think the water is actually supposed to flow there, but it seems to be "leaking" there from the fountain attachment. It works for us and is not causing any problems. It is quiet and easy to put together, and clean. I like that it is clear so you know when to add water. The hardest part is getting the pump suctioned in the right spot so that it lines up with the fountain tube. Not a huge problem but an annoyance cuz it usually takes some time. I definitely recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  Somehow my cat knew that this was for him right when I was opening the package! Haha. I put it together fairly quickly, following the provided instructions. The only thing that was missing from the instructions was what to do with the pump wire but it just took a second to figure out that it goes through the hole of the big plastic container part. I filled it with water and plugged it in. My cat immediately started drinking from it. The noise was OK when I first started it. Like it wasn’t loud but wasn’t silent. Now it’s pretty loud if it’s not completely full. I bought this because the description said very quiet and I’ve had this issue before.4 stars because my cat seems to like it, it looks kinda nice and is a nice size, but it is loud for something that’s supposed to be quiet.Update less than a year later: Really loud now. You can hear the motor from other rooms. Downgraded to 3 stars.
