Ruby Bridges (Rookie Biographies)

This book has great photos, and it is simple enough for younger kids. I wasn't expecting it to be as small as it is, but it will be fine for what I need. I would love it to be bigger so my students can see the pictures better. I am very happy with the price and quality of the book.

This short book has great photos and very simple text. It is not a comprehensive biography, but a brief overview. It is a VERY short, small book.

This book is a very good introduction for younger children to learn about the prejudice that happened to Ruby Bridges. she was a very bright and advanced student who wasn't allowed to go to a school near her home because she was a person of color. It took national security to see that Ruby finally got to school. All the parents kept their white children out of Ruby's class, so she was the only one. The photographs of the time show the taunting and trauma Ruby went through and how brave she was. I loved this book.

Awesome biography of an American heroine.

I love the contents of this book. I love the Rookie Biographies and this one about the life and legacy of Ruby Bridges is one that I know my students will enjoy.

This is a great teaching book and it is inspirational for both children and parents alike.

This is like a album for kids, perfect for nonnative pupils to learn about this period in the US histroy.
