I've used a lot of micrometer translation stages, and this one is smooth and capable with no weaknesses found. (The photos show this stage on my probe station during initial testing but I can't share photos with the full work setup.) The adjustment is smooth and accurate with lots of travel range. The axes are straight with low/no crosstalk. The machining is super flat and accurate, although you'll want to wipe off the machining oil with a solvent before taking it into a clean room. The springs are nice and linear and stiff enough for the platform to stay where you set it. Overall this is a reasonably priced fully capable micrometer linear translation stage suitable for laboratory use!

I don't have any ways of measuring how accurate the travel is on this XY stage, but there seems to be minimal backlash on the micrometers and the table stays where I set it. I wish they included a diagram of what the hole spacings and thread types are. The plate is very flat with no discernable wobble on my Grade A surface plate.
