Royal Family (Blue Prince/Blue Princess) Holly - Ilex Royal Family-Prince/Princess - 3 Gallon

I ordered these hollies on Amazon because I needed Blue Prince to fertilize the Blue Princesses I had just bought from a local store. These had good reviews, but I was a little dubious as it said they would take almost 10 days to arrive! I tracked the two packages and they were picked up almost the day of ordering and were with the carrier by the weekend. We live in Texas, it's over 100F for the last 10 days and I didn't have high hopes for these.BUT they arrived today (Tuesday) they were due next Friday, so early (yes).I cut open the boxes and, as you can see in the pictures, gloriously healthy hollies!!! Gave them a good water and will plant them once they're good and wet.Thank you, Amazon, and Premier Plant Solutions. Very happy customer.

Do not order until you have your location set, the ground prepared for planting, and the correct pH level established, along with everything you need already on hand. I should have seen when I opened the box that this plant(s) was far overgrown beyond the capacity of the pot. It arrived during an extreme heat wave that broke a few days later with torrential downpours. It appeared to have been in shipping for a long time and was extremely dried out when I opened the box. It was dead only weeks after being put in the ground. One of the two plants in the pair has very minimal new growth while the other shows no signs of life at all. If it had survived long enough to grow into the plant(s) it should have, it would have been a truly beautiful centerpiece to our yard.

I am always leery about ordering plants online but because of the great reviews, I decided to take a chance. A few minutes ago the Ilex arrived and it is absolutely beautiful. Leaves are shiny green, soil was moist, no broken branches, no signs of bugs or disease etc. It is also bigger than what I was expecting and stands 32" tall including the pot. I am absolutely delighted and will order more shrubs etc from this vendor!

I never expected such incredible large and healthy bushes! They were shipped super fast, arrived in great shape and were stunning. MUCH BETTER than I ever expected, and better than the holly I bought for $70 at the local store. It is a nice one, but only female. This male/ female combo is great. VERY PLEASEDREVISED: Although I planted these very correctly and gave them compost and then disease prevention specific to holly bushes, one died over the mild Winter. It seems to be in parts, possibly because it is male/female. The other, 5 feet away in exact same conditions is thriving. So it's a gamble given the high price! I was hoping to get more this year, but local nursery will accept returns and exchange during the first year, I don't think these have any warranty. Too bad.

I ordered two different holly plants from this vendor. Both arrived well-packaged and in excellent condition. Plants were tall (app 2.5 ft), thick (app 2 ft wide), and healthy with moist soil. Well worth the money spent. I recently ordered a China Boy from Home Depot for a little less money. With that order, I received an 8 inch tall plant that an animal promptly stole! I recommend spending a little more money to get this exceptional plant.

I bought 5 of the Royal Family Holly plant combination between May 2022 and August 2022. The male/pollinator half of every single one of them has died independently of the female stock in the same containers. Two died in containers and three died after planting in the ground. I don’t know how that can be explained but it can’t be just me. Too much coincidence. The supplier has a big problem with half their plant stock. This selection is far too expensive for single surviving holly bushes.Again, why won’t this seller respond, at all, to me about this issue?

Came fresh and green and shipping was awesome. Planted them right away and now they are blooming and doing great. Having both male and female in the same pot was the best idea ever!July 19th...One half of the plant turned dark, then brown..checked for mold and blight and spots but could find nothing. I increased the water hoping to save the bush...any advice? So far this has affected only 2 of the plants out of the 4.

I thought this was a blue male and it has berries so it’s either a female or a mix. I have 2 females will this pollinate those females too or just this plant ? Please ask grower
