This stuff is amazing. My pans look brand new after years of use, not like they came off the line at Waffle House.

So many people complain about cooking with stainless steel, because of food sticking to the cookware.There are two simple techniques I use to minimize food sticking to stainless steel cookware - lubrication & cleanliness.1) Lubrication - I heat a clean dry stainless steel pan to the point that when a drop of water hits the surface it balls up, and dances in the pan. This is called the Leidenfrost effect. At this point, I remove the pan from the heat, and melt a tablespoon of butter in the pan. I place the food in the pan, adjust the stove's burner to the desired temperature, return the pan to the heat, and finish cooking.2) Cleanliness - The cookware needs to be perfectly clean from previously cooked foods. If there is old cooked-on food residue stuck to the stainless steel (white haze), then any new food cooked in the pan will stick to the old residue. This is where Barkeeper's Friend for Cookware does it's job. After cooking, and cooling the pan; I soak the pan in water for a few minutes if needed. I also scrape the pan to remove thick gunk, if needed. Then I apply a generous portion of Barkeeper's Friend for Cookware, and scrub out with a brush or scrub pad. Afterwards the stainless steel pan should look brand new.I also use OXO Good Grips Dish Brush ASIN:B00004OCIZ and 3M Scotch-Brite Purple Scouring Pads ASIN: B000Y52E82 for all cookware.The brush has a scraper the back to scrape off any thick gunk, and the brush side works great with Barkeeper's Friend for Cookware.The 3M Scotch-Brite Purple Scouring Pads works great for both stainless steel and cast iron cookware.Barkeeper's Friend for Cookware is a MUST HAVE for cleaning stainless steel cookware.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

When I first bought the standard Barkeeper's Friend, I was quite impressed. It removed stains from a copper cookie jar that apparently isn't really copper. The metal jar must be some sort of cheap alloy, as when polishing it, some parts get shiny faster than others. That might explain why copper cleaners weren't effective. Cleansers like Comet and Bon Ami worked a little, but didn't get my stuff to shine. I wasn't about to try anything harsh, like steel wool. THAT will scratch about anything, no matter how you use it.Note, the instructions say to thoroughly wash after using, as Barkeeper's Friend contains an acid not present in most cleansers. That must have something to do with why it works so well.This Barkeeper's Friend for Cookware is a somewhat stronger version of Barkeeper's Friend. I use it mostly to clean the stainless steel tub in my instant pot. Works like a charm every time! If it scratches the surface, I can't see anything. Leaves stainless steel looking shiny and new.

I usually purchase the regular powder cleanser but decided to try this Cookware Cleanser because I do use the original on my stainless steel cookware. This works well but overall I like the original better.

Just bought Le Creuset, and Al Clad Stainless Steel cookware and I wash by hand. But stainless is strange in that foods make slight stains that don't seem to come out by just dish soap (dawn) alone. If when I wash, look inside and see some marks etc of any kind, I whip out the Bar Keepers for Stainless and use it inside the pot, lid, and bottom, and the piece looks like it just came from the factory. It is simple easy, and looks easy to use. Some folks blame the cookware, but it is really how we care for our stainless steel. If you have any residue or what looks like imperfection inside the lid (even from steam etc.) just take a couple min to clean it with this and it is back to its beautiful self. My cookware was expensive, and it is worth the special care to keep it looking great. This product does its job well. Recommend it.

So good for scouring the bottom of your cookware. I put a little bit of Dawn dishboap on a stainless steel mesh scouring pad (that you can get at Target, Walmart, etc.) then sprinkle Barkeeper's Friend cookware cleanser on the bottom of the the pan or the scouring pad, then scrub. I have had very stubborn old stains come off my cookware. But it has to be the "cookware" cleaner, not the regular Barkeeper's Friend cleanser (although I also use the regular one for regular use on other things.) Nothing has worked as well on the bottom of my often-used cookware.
