Decent edge-banding.
For non-critical work, this is fine. I used it to edge a melamine work surface in my basement. Had I wanted the appearance to be perfect, I'd have used something else (had I wanted perfection, I'd have used MDF and covered the whole thing with laminate) -- but this got me to "good enough" with greater ease than a solid wood edge or edge banding that needed contact cement applied to it and the work surface. The also sell a tool for cutting the ends flush; it is expensive and, in my experience, not needed. Careful use of a new utility knife blade took care of all protruding edges just fine.

less friction
we have a pull out pantry next to our fridge and I tried using felt pads so it wouldn't rub on the walls but that just left felt behind so I used this tape over top of the felt pads and now it glides across the wall with ease

mixed feelings
Mellamine is high grade, at least for me. Thicker than the iron-on from homedepot. The glue is very sticky as well. The edge of the roll is very sticky. However, the glue is liquid enough that the strip can be actually pushed a bit. I used this to cover pneumatic finish nail holes. I nailed cheap mellamine bookcase frame together (Bookcase I bought here-it's 2 for $80) because I know 2 screws each side is not enough. I would not use this for actual furniture edging. The glue will not dry and actually not thick enough to stay on wood. Edge trimmer, razor and router will gum up and also push the edging around and will not give you a clean cut. It would be as if trying to trim it before iron on glue dries completely.4 stars for my use. 2 for furniture grade work. Average 3.

great product!
This product works great. It is extremely sticky. The iron on edge banding I have used in the past has been very brittle and tears apart very easily, this does not! I made sure to wipe the surface down to clear any loose dust off and applied it with a roller, then the edge of a wood block. I used an old single side edge band trimmer that I have and then softened the edge with a file. A new razor blade scraped along the edge took care of any excess glue, there was no need to clean the razor blade over and over as others have indicated. I have been a cabinet maker for over 15 years and this product performed just how I would hope. I will definitely buy this product again and again as needed. It is expensive and somewhat time consuming to put on but this will not break and peel off as other edge banding will.

Super Roll of White Trim
Wonderful Edging for tables and shelves. This roll of laminate is self-adhesive with a heavy duty adhesion. It is lightweight and very easy to trim to the proper size. It goes on easily and it can be repositioned before the adhesive completely sets. I purchased it for a set of outdoor chairs that had peeling strips on the arms of the chairs. After thoroughly cleaning, repairing the finish in some spots and painting worn areas, I installed this product. It completely replaced the old strips. The color is an almost perfect white. No one could tell that the strips were not original. They helped to make these chairs to look almost 'brand new.' A few of my kids did not recognize the chairs after they were finished. Highly recommend. Great Buy!

Adhesive squeeze-out is a BIG problem.
I've used iron-on edge band for almost 30 years and was hoping that this product would save time. Yes, the initial application is faster, but the adhesive is messy. Maybe I got a bad batch of tape but the two rolls I purchased were quite frustrating to use as the adhesive oozes out from the sides when using the Quad trimmer to cut the edge band flush. This makes it necessary to clean the quad trimmer each time. Also, the adhesive gets on the surface of the melamine board being edge banded. The instructions say to not use any solvent as it will leach into the joint and cause failure. So I used a razor blade to remove the squeeze-out, but had to clean this after each pass. This was a VERY tedious and lengthy operation. A day later the adhesive was still oozing out of the joint. Yet more cleaning and I am worried it will continue. I could have been done with this job in a fraction of the time had I used iron-on edge band. Yes, I followed Fastcap's instructions and videos to the letter. As I said earlier, it is possible that I received a defective or expired product. I have used many of Fastcap's other products in the past and have always been impressed. If this was indeed NOT defective then I think there are issues with their FastEdge tape. If the squeeze-out can be taken care of then there is potential for another great Fastcap product.

Worked great!! Made a few cabinets with some Melamine
Worked great!! Made a few cabinets with some Melamine, one pc I wasn't very careful when applying and had to peel it back somewhat. In doing so it pulled some of the particle board back leaving a few small pcs on the tape. So now I have a spot with some lumps and imperfections. This stuff does stick and well!! Very easy to trim because it's like a vinyl. I used my block plane, LIGHTLY, on about a 15 degree pitch and it cleaned up great. Would recommend to anyone ...... GET RID OF THE IRON!!!!
