Vita FlexThermaflex Liniment Gel for Sore Muscles and Joint Relief in Horses 12 Fluid Ounces

I have a bottle of this which is running out after two years and I had looked everywhere until I found it here. I got it from a tack shop originally and the owner asked if I really wanted that because she said "It made my horse dance," My knee was bothering me enough that I tried it. I almost danced the first couple of weeks myself. It has 4% menthol which is stronger than otc drug store ointments. However, it really does relieve the pain in areas like your knee where the cartilage etc. is close to the surface. It also works really well for my neck which gets sore from my job with no grease. Very nice and lasts much longer than the tubes of sports cream so it really is not that expensive as I get much more mileage from it. I would just say to use it sparingly in a small spot first and DO NOT wrap the area after using it. Some people may get a rash at first due to the extra strength. Now that I am used to it, I do put it on and then wrap my knee with an ace bandage over night. By the next day the tendonitis has calmed down to almost nothing. No human strength stuff has done this for me. The only other thing I would add is to MAKE SURE you don't touch your eyes, nose or sensitive skin because you will might outdance that horse. Wash hands thoroughly and you might still want to allow a few minutes before rubbing your eyes. I hope this is helpful to people as well as horses..

I've been using this product for a long time. I usually try to find the gel but haven't been able to lately. I use it usually around the si joints on the tendons around one of his fetlock joints due to an old injury. He seems to be ok with the heat it produces, He will sometimes roll or stump for a second, if I put too much on, but he usually is fine. I know it works as I do it with my bare hands....can't harm to get that extra circulation in my hands, can it?Because I use it so much around the fetlock joint it is very hard to put on. A spray bottle might work, but I think a gel is best.

Didn't help the horses muscles but worked for me.

I have used this gel for twenty years and it is far superior than the gels that are sold in pharmacies. Great relief for sore muscles and joints.
