Digitech have always sounded good, in particular through a PA which is how ...
Anyone looking at a multi-effects pedal look at it from a very personal point of view….so looking at the punters who give these pedals low stars have to assume it didn’t do what they wanted. None of these pedals are perfect….one size doesnt fit all…….. and I have owned many.To me, Digitech have always sounded good, in particular through a PA which is how I perform. I cant comment on how it sounds through an amp. I can tell you I just returned a Zoom G3x because it didn’t have a ‘mixer’ switch on it and sounded grainy through a PA. Digitech have this option. Also, one of my requirements is to be able to switch off effects in a patch on the fly by foot. Again, Digitech does this and with the FS3x footswitch you don’t have to tap dance to access this facility, and still change patchesThe Factory sounds are not outrageous like some pedals. They all seem useable and no doubt they can be tweeked.I cant comment on looper or drum machine as I don’t use these. My main negative is the lack of notification on the screen when WAH is selected which is why it loses a star. RP355 did this….and, by the way, is very similar to this pedal in many ways. Both these pedal have VOLUME and WAH incorporated in EVERY patch, and allows you to toggle between them with a press of the expression pedal…….pay attention ZOOM! I am still keeping my old 355 and may return the RP360 after I finish assessing if the extra £££ is worth it. The RP355 also has the option of storing & toggling between 2 amps per patch which can have different eq & volume settings. Very useful for live gigs.Interesting to see the evolution between the RP355 to the RP360. The case is made out of pressed sheet steel vs cast alloy………..a big saving here. I guess the editing with the LCD screen is supposed to be easier, although the old matrix system is very intuitive.

Perfect multi effect with looper and wah pedal
I did massive research on which one to order I was deciding between boss gt1 ,zoom g3xn and rp360xp. I decided for rp360xp because it comes with all you need. Boss dont have a drum machine! G3XN is big. rp360xp sounds great, looper works perfectly (you cant use looper and drums at the same time). Controls are easy and really customizable. It comes with 99 factory presets and 99 where you can save yours.Really cool is when you switch to stompbox control where each effect comes with 3 variations so you are actually getting even more effects (for example you have a clean sound, first button will give you distortion, another reverb and 3rd one flanger) you can customize that btw. If you get fs3x footswitch you will have all you need.It is made of metal and footswitch is very sturdy. Sounds great on headphones. The next buy will be Digitech trio plus.I had to return the first one as the select button was really hard to press. Amazon send me a replacement and I had it next day. Very simple process.

Quality sounds, complete bargain
Very impressed with the quality of the sounds on this thing. I've used multieffects by Boss, Zoom, Behringer and Line 6 and this definitely aces them all. There's nothing new compared with the latest generation of RP processors, but the same quality is now available at the price of one or two stompboxes. There are absolutely loads of amp and speaker simulations and pedal models - and they are terrific - from the Tubescreamer models to Big Muff and Gonkulator, they actually sound like the originals. There's a 40 second looper built in, and drum loops (though you can't use them both at the same time, which is stupid, but they're obviously keeping this for the RP2000). For the first time I can turn the noise gate off (I hate them) without drowning in noise (still more than individual stomps, but useable). You can also use it in Stomp mode, where the 3 switches turn individual effects on and off, take a signal from an external audio source and rearrange the FX order, which makes a big difference to the sounds. Omissions - there's no reverse delay, which is a shame. There's no ring modulator, though the Gonkulator model has one, you're stuck with the Gonkulator dist; it would be nice to be able to use it with the distortion of your choice. Last pain is that you are stuck with the effects slots that you're given - you can only use one delay, one distortion etc, whereas on some processors you can stack them up. All in all though, really great value for such great sounds. Using mine every day for teaching.

Only just got this today, had a quick play with it and can honestly say it's fantastic, got it going through my boss katana 50 which I was a bit disappointed with as I couldn't get the sounds I was after but this pedal has answered my prayers. Straight away just after tweaking a couple of presets I've now got a gorgeous clean chorus tone, a brilliant slash rhythm tone and an awesome screaming lead tone with no feedback what so ever after I altered the noise gate. Only spent about half an hour on it and got the sounds I wanted, can't wait to delve deeper into it later. Highly recommend this pedal, for the money there's nothing better and it's brought my disappointing katana to glorious life..

a step down
i feel digitech overstepped themselves with rp360xp,1;you can only get half-screen on TV with USB,you have to walk over to TV to check what your looking at all the time,a definite sign of madness or spite,unforgivable.2;you can only download 1 preset at a time, from home page, and was very confusing as to how to get it to nexus librarian,3;awful speaker-scaring background buzz like an old radio on many pedals,noise-gate did little to dampen noise.4;one of the rubber feet fell off after little use.5;There is no way the 360 is going to be equal of RP350 or RP200 etc, which last years and had some nice presets. They should have put 360 in the 350 type of pedal with large footswitches and A+B amps.sturdy and strong.the 360XP is not made to last and has awfull presets.Having said all that-the USB interface [though small] is something else, you can re-arrange over 160 effects, amps and cabinets any way you like and have a lot of fun,but sadly a lack of good clean genuine guitar sounds [to fiddle with] or far-out sounds.they'd be better of putting-in Sitar etc.effects like in the early Casio/Yamaha keyboards. It appears that if you let any of these make-your-own-music manufactures near a computer they go mad, like all the digi-music studios I've tried and in their ignorance get spiteful with confusion.I've spent more time messing about with pages of swollen instructions that malfunction than I ever have recording,as if they don't know how to work in the first place.
