The Longarm #435: Longarm and the Missing Husband

I have been a fan of the Longarm adult western series for about ten years and I have read hundreds of these books. Indeed, it has been difficult lately to find Longarm novels I have not read. I recently purchased this book (Longarm #435 and the missing husband by Tabor Evans) on Amazon for a bargain price and found it to be an entertaining but not a great western tale.Since these adult western stories have numerous different writers the style of the writing is often varied, sometimes good and sometimes not so good. In any case, this tale begins as so many Longarm arm stories do, where we have Custis Long, U.S. Deputy Federal Marshal jumping out of bed to head for work with a female companion begging him to stay a little while longer.Longarm walked into the office to see his boss, Billy Vail, an ex-Texas Ranger, who always has an assignment for his best deputy. Longarm winds up comforting a crying woman whose husband is missing. Since the woman’s husband was a surveyor and went missing on Federal Indian reservation land, which means it comes under federal authority. Billy assigns Longarm to go with the lady to find out what happened to her husband.I never give away too much information when reviewing a novel but if you are a Longarm fan you may want to check out this story.Rating: 4 Stars. Deputy US Marshal Custis Long is sent to find amissing husband out in Wyoming.He comes to find out. he has an unexpected travelpartner, and must behave in a proper manner, andcan't even be his usual rude self either.3 killers, a poker game, 2 attempts by a rifleman tokill them, an Indian Reservation, that has a very changedmemory sitting in it, later........Well, you will have to read the book to find out what happens.

Longarm got married

Perfectly happy with this purchase. I bought it for one of my residents (I'm a caregiver). He was very happy, as he is a fan!

Now longarm. Has become a tea totaller , better but still off the mark so far, I can't see the the main charm in the writing that I enjoyed for years.
