Better performance, durability, and 4 times the battery life! Meets UL & CE safety standards! Lithium technology has been increasingly popular in the rechargeable battery market. Products such as laptops, smart-phones, and tablets all use lithium batteries. Currently, all iRobot Roomba batteries use Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) technology with decreasing operating time after 6-12 months of use. The NiMh battery has memory effect and with high rate of self-discharge (over 25 percent a month). The Best Cost/Performance Ratio The REAL Cost You Pay for Daily Usage - Our lithium battery: $96/800 charge cycles = about $0.12/cycle - OEM Ni-MH batteries: $49.99/200 cycles = $0.25/cycle - Aftermarket Ni-MH batteries: $42/200 cycles = $0.21/cycle (3800mA or 4000mA) CyberTech Battery Advantages- Patented battery balancing technology - Built-in over protection circuits provide safety and reliability - Battery cell packs assembly in Taiwan, quality guaranteed! - Longer operating time with 4 times longer battery life, Li-NMC power cells remain at 80% capacity after 800 cycles - No memory effect + low rate of self-dischargeFeatures: - The first lithium rechargeable battery for iRobot Roomba 500, 600, 700, 800 Series, - 4400 mAh capacity, compared to the original 3200 mAh battery (operating time, varies between models) - Fully compatible with the original charger - Patent battery balancing technology for expanded battery life; remains fully functional after 800 charge cycles - Built-in over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protection - No memory effect, Low rate of self-discharge (1 percent per month) - 18 months warranty iRobot are registered trademarks of iRobot Corporation.

Did Not Last 8 Months!
Purchased in April 2020 and it no longer charges AT ALL. It was charging fine and my Series 600 Roomba would clean a 1000 sq ft area without needing a recharge, then one day when I went to use it (from the charging base), I found that it was completely dead. I thought that it had been jarred off of the base, so I carefully placed it on the base. The orange light flashed continuously for several minutes. I left it to charge, but it was still dead three days later. I cleaned the contacts, but it blinked orange again. After about 30 minutes, I heard the dreaded "Error 5" message, and then it blinked RED with an exclamation point. At that point, I removed the Roomba from the base due to a risk of overheating and fire.I am VERY disappointed in this product. A lithium ion battery should last much longer than just eight months. As it should still be covered under the 18-month warranty, I looked for any contact information on the seller's website, cyber-tech.com, and found no email address, phone number, or Customer Service input form. Unacceptable. 1 star. Useless product. DO NOT BUY.

Completely dead after 2 years
After two years this battery no longer works at all. When it's new it's great, but after a year or so the performance of this battery falls to around the same level as the battery that comes with the Roomba (I have a 500 and a 600 series)The real issue with this battery is that the BMS completely disconnects the battery when a cell gets low. So the Roomba gets zero warning that the battery is getting low and is unable to even attempt to re-dock to charge.Furthermore: Because the battery just suddenly *completely* shuts down: The Roomba loses *all* of it's internal settings like the current time and schedule. For the past several month we've had to reset the Roomba clock *every* day because it would just stop cleaning in the middle of the floor because the battery just shuts down.At least with the NiMH battery that iRobot uses the voltage drops down to where Roomba knows it's time to recharge and the batteries never drop to 0 volts causing you to lose your settings.

Easy, worthwhile upgrade!
I just received the CyberTech 4400mAh Lithium battery replacement for my Roomba 770, so I can't address its longevity. Instead I'll just say that it takes about 60 seconds to swap out the original Roomba battery with this terrific upgrade. All you do is:1. turn off your Roomba (big button on top) and flip it over2. remove two little Phillips screws and open door3. pull out the old battery with the plastic side tabs4. drop in the new lithium battery5. close it up, power it up6. re-enter the day/time information. (All the programming data disappears when you pull the battery--no biggie.)I've used my Roomba 770 almost daily for a year and the original battery was getting a bit anemic, though still useable. But this lithium replacement is far better than Roomba's original NiCd battery. Not a design flaw--it's just that the pricey lithium batteries are inherently superior to NiCd batteries. And the build quality of the new lithium battery is, if anything, even better than the original.I like the extra little side brush CyberTech threw in, so I swapped it out at the same time. If your Roomba is getting a bit feeble and you have a few extra bucks, this is a worthwhile upgrade.

Battery Made in China, NOT Made in Taiwan
My current Li-Ion battery in my Roomba was bought nearly 5 years ago and it was Made in Taiwan. I used it at least 5 days a week for the last 5 years and is finally showing signs of aging. It still runs for about an hour but starting to stop in the middle of the living room and out of battery. I purchased this new one after searching through multiple listings for another one made in Taiwan. However, the one I received was made in china. I purposely chose this one and paid 50% premium over chinese made battery only to receive something cheaper. very disappointed.

Very disappointed in this battery replacement
I bought this battery to replace the original battery on my Roomba 980, hoping to prolong the run time. When new, the original battery would run 50- 70 minutes on a full charge. Recently as it ages it only gets 20- 25 minutes on a charge. Unfortunately, after fully charging this battery I only got about 42 minutes of run time the first time it ran. Subsequent runs after a full charge range from 38- 45 minutes, far short of the promised increase run time of the promotion for this battery and well below the run time of the original battery when new. I don't know if this battery qualifies for a return now or not.

Not bad. Pros
Not bad. Pros. Does lengthen the time between charges by more than double the original battery run time. Cons, vac cannot be left completely unattended. Will still try to doc after one hour runtime even though it can go two hours or more. Have to keep it away from the doc until the start button changes colour from green to orange or red. Also lately vac no longer runs full two or more hours, will stop after a hour or so, play a tune and turn off, regardless where it is. Have to go find it and turn back on. May do this a few time in the extended run time before charging. Also, when vac docs, about every few months, it appears to charge, but then the start button stays orange and vac won’t charge. Resolve is to move vac off doc, then replace on doc station to make the start button flash orange, indicating the vac is now charging. Next battery may be an iRobot battery.

Great Replacement Battery for your Roomba
My Roomba's battery was getting weaker and weaker, not lasting even 15 minutes. Decided to give this item a try, mostly based on feedback by other users. I did not expect this battery to last more than an hour - and I was proven wrong. It lasts way beyond that - some people said it overshoots the 2 hour mark - personally never tested it this long, but it can definitely clean my house in one charge (and back on charging station afterwards). Very happy!!!Also, I've bought a regular (non-lithium) battery for my second Roomba, and this one definitely outlasts it. Great replacement battery, recommended!

Longer Clean cycles, and more charges. - Read the Special Note about Sleep mode.
Needed replacements for my 2 Roomba batteries, and after already going through a previous change cycle was looking for something that would last longer between replacements, and ideally perform for longer to clean my entire upper floor 1370 sq ft (Carpeted). These batteries didn't disappoint, as the entire floor could now be done on a single charge cycle. Previously it took 2. In addition it appears that the overall power of the clean cycle is stronger, as the audible speed of the Roomba remains unchanged throughout the cleaning cycle. With the increased re-charge capability I expect this to be the only battery I buy going forward.A great upgrade.Of Special Note: Lithium ion batteries are now designed with a sleep mode on many manufacturers specifications. about what this means for your here.http://www.lithiumpowerinc.com/pdf/Troubleshooting_Guide_201402.pdf Read more

UPDATE: Still going strong one year in!
UPDATE: It's been nearly a year of twice-a-week uses out of this battery and I can still manage over 2.5 HRs of continuous run-time!<original review>I don't normally write product reviews, but this thing is AMAZING! I experienced over 3.0 HRs of continuous run time on a 50/50 mix of carpet and tile flooring on my first test (the Roomba has to work harder to drive over carpet compared to tile or hardwood, which drains the battery faster, so YMMV). For the record, I own a five year-old model 565 named "Waldo" (since I often had to go look for him when I got home from work). That being said, all that additional run time isn't always available due to Roomba's own "I'm done cleaning" algorithm (which is a combination of measured run time, distance traveled, longest straight-line run, etc). This certainly isn't the fault of this new battery, but the Roomba itself -- the iRobot engineers never factored in a potential 3.0+ HRs of run time! So, sometime after about 1.0 HRs of cleaning my 1050 sq-ft condo, Waldo wants to dock because he thinks he's finished. If this happens when Waldo is relatively close to the docking station, he proceeds to dock and is done for the day. However, as was the case this afternoon, Waldo was two rooms away from the docking station when that little green light started to flash. He then spent the next HOUR or so attempting to locate the docking station, cleaning the entire time while doing so. If this was my old Ni-MH battery (back when it was brand new), I could hope for maybe another 15-20 minutes before running out of juice. The only other CON I can think of is a longer charging time, but this goes hand in hand with a much larger capacity -- 4400 mAh vs 3000-3200 mAh for an OEM battery (depending on what you read), or 3500 mAh for some of the current aftermarket ones.As for additional PROs, the battery itself is about 200g lighter, meaning that your Roomba is 200g lighter and the battery has less weight to drive around = more run time for your Roomba. The battery chemistry is also based on 14.8V vs 14.4V for Ni-MH, meaning slightly more power for the brushes and drive wheels = more torque to get out of sticky situations, slightly faster sprints across the room, and slightly more vigorous brushing/sucking. Li-Ion battery voltage also doesn't drop off as much as Ni-MH ones do while discharging, meaning that you have that higher voltage for a lot longer during a cleaning cycle. Finally, the capacity of Li-Ion batteries don't drop off as fast as Ni-MH ones over time, meaning that you should retain most of that 4400 mAh of capacity for the life of the battery (instead of getting less and less run time as a Ni-MH battery ages -- which is probably what made you decide to start researching a replacement battery and brought your here). And I can't even comment yet on the predicted 800 charging cycles vs the OEM battery's 200 charging cycles. My last two Ni-MH batteries lasted between 2.0 and 2.5 years and was "discharged/charged" twice a week (that's about 200-250 cycles), so I might not be shopping for a replacement for this battery for another 8-10 YEARS! Well worth the higher price compared to even a cheap aftermarket Ni-MH battery.PS: As I mentioned in an answer regarding another shopper's compatibility question, I did have to increase the spring tension of two of the stainless steel contact tabs (I believe they were the ones for the temperature sensor). Before doing so, The CLEAN button rapidly flashed amber on my model 565 until I carefully pulled up on all four contact tabs to increase tension. After that, the CLEAN button went back to its slow pulsing that normally indicates proper charging.

Four Years and Going Strong - Sweet
I bought this battery four years ago and it still cleans the crap out of my house every week. Unfortunately I bought another brand what I thought was similar but $10 cheaper one and my Roomba started shutting down prematurely after 18 months. Happily going back to buy another one of these beauties so BOTH my Roombas can be powered by these winner winner chicken dinner batteries. NB thanks.
