I purchased a couple of these clocks as gifts for two young hockey fans in my family. I was pleased when they became available on Amazon even after reading less than satisfied reviews, hoping it was user error. I tested each one so there would be no issue when I gave them as gifts at a later date. The alarm function would not work on either clock no matter how much I wanted it to. The seller reached out with a follow up email shortly after my purchase and assured me they would care for any product issues. While I appreciated that, my purchase was through Amazon and that is who I returned the clocks to. I'm disappointed that the clocks are of poor quality at a price of almost $50 each. As a side note, I purchased 3 Fan Fever The Goal Light - Pro Hockey Red Light - Horn Sounds of all 31 Teams from this same seller and all 3 work.

Absolutely perfect! My 8 year old son is a HUGE hockey fan. He was so excited to get this for his birthday. Is very easy to use and give the real impression of a hockey goal. (I watched a youtube video on it to see it in action before I purchased)Can set to just be the alarm noise in the morning or the noise and goal light.Great quality item, even though a bit pricey. Would definitely purchase again!

For being an alarm clock, it's awfully quiet. It could be louder considering it is supposed to wake you up. We're not hard of hearing nor is it in a distance. It's near our heads and it's still pretty quiet. Other then that, it's a neat purchase.

Alarm does not work.

We gave this clock to our 7 year old hockey fanatic son as a Christmas present and he loves it. What a great idea: a goal light flashing and siren blaring as the perfect way to rouse a hockey player from dreams of scoring a big goal. After viewing the youtube video of the alarm in action, we feared that the siren sound would blast the whole house but the volume is actually reasonable.As a hockey novelty the Fan Fever Goal Light is brilliantly executed and very authentic-looking, but as an alarm clock it has its shortcomings. The display is an LCD and cannot be seen in the dark without pushing the snooze button to turn on a temporary backlight. Even with the backlight, the digits are small and the alarm and "am/pm" icons are positively microscopic. The alarm volume cannot be adjusted. The clock function is absolutely minimal and looking at the construction quality I have my doubts about long term durability. I prefer alarm clocks that can be plugged in, and this one runs only on batteries. But if you are a hard core hockey fan like my son, I grant you these deficiencies will be just minor quibbles.

My hockey loving daughter loves this alarm clock. It has the hockey score sound that is sure to wake you and the rest of the house up in the morning. LOL. You can turn down the sound so that was a plus. I wish it would stay lite the entire time so you could see it in the dark without touching it but there is a button at the top to see it if you need to.

This is so cool!! Totally like the Hockey goals at a game. Nephew loved this gift and I must say, it looks great! My sister ( his mom) may not thank me hahahaha, but it is a great alarm clock for any hockey player or enthusiast. So realistic!!
