Great Hemorrhoid product
Great product and because of the Lidocaine it really helps with the pain of hemorrhoids. The con is it's price is higher than the regular Preparation H cream, but to me it's worth it.

Soothes Hemorrhoid Pain Effectively – Slightly Less Than Epsom Salt Cream
This product helps soothe hemorrhoid pain within days of use. While it’s not quite as effective as Epsom salt cream for me, it still provides noticeable relief and comfort. A good option if you want a convenient treatment that works reasonably well.

Prep-H With Lidocaine very effective but . . .
Product itself is very effective in reducing hemmie pain that is normally so bad that I can't function. Trying to grip the small and very soft tube to open the child-proof lid is an exercise that I dread going through again. It took me 30 minutes to get this strange lid off! The product itself is awesome, but you can't hold the squishy little tube and use brute force to push the cap down and then twist it open. There is nothing rigid anywhere on the soft tube from one end to the other to hold on to. I honestly don't know how it finally came off. I was afraid the whole time that I would tear the tube or twist it so badly that when the lid finally came off, all the cream would just spurt out everywhere! This tube proved to almost be adult-proof as well as child-proof! I can walk into a Walmart and buy it for $2 less ($17.99 instead of $19.99 for one-time purchase on Amazon), but since I'm having a problem walking through big box stores (or anywhere else for that matter), and I needed it almost immediately, I ordered from this Amazon seller and received it very fast with Prime! The premium of an extra $2 was worth it to me. However, if this seller decides to increase the cost another $1 or $2 then I might need to reevaluate my next purchase of the product from them. PRODUCT EFFECTIVENESS: 5 stars - the cream works with 5% Lidocaine! PRODUCT DESIGN: 1 star because of lid opening design - almost adult-proof! Horrible experience that took 30 minutes to open! Several negative reviews on here mention lid design as being a problem. It is actually both the lid itself and the soft squishy tube with no rigid area that causes the problem. There is no place to grip the soft tube so that force can be used to push the little lid down and then twist it off. PRODUCT SHIPPING PACKAGE: 2 stars because of the thin padded envelope instead of a sturdy little shipping box. The tube and the product box inside the shipping envelope were severely squished and the product box was half smashed. It was a miracle that there was not cream all over the inside of the envelope. OVERALL RATING ON AMAZON FOR THIS: 3 stars. If the seller will ship the product in a small protective box making it almost impossible to squish or smash the tube, I will give this 4 stars on Amazon. If makers of Prep H will redesign the lid or make the tube more rigid to accomplish easier opening, I will give it 5 stars on Amazon.
