Modern Dinobots Rule
This is a great figure and fun to play with. What kid doesn't like robots that turn into dinosaurs! All the pointy pieces are made with a soft molded plastic. I got it for about $12, but would mind paying $14 for it.

As expected.
Came as expected...just like all the other Transformers toys. It had the instructions, easy open, and my five year old son was extra excited to receive this in the mail.

5horns but 3stars
Did dinobot Slug meet my expectations?...yes and no. I'll begin with my cons. Firstly he hasn't the overall articulation as the other fellow dinobots. No wrist swivel is annoying when wanting to pose him. He has what I call "Gorilla arms" and I'm not to partial on that fact. Now his overall size was a bit of a disappointment as well. He's tiny in comparison to all the other dinobots of this series and in dino mode his articulation is also limited. I gave him 3stars because of his playability and the mishaps therein. Now the pros is his look, he's appealing in spite of his small size, lack of articulation and Gorilla arms. Dino mode looks menacing and I'm like the color scheme very much. His robot mode is spectacular and that head sculpt puts the extra eye candy on him. He looks bulky and slender at the same time by way of his physical shape and the guardian type stature. With weapons in hand he looks to be a handful. He would've gotten a 4star treatment. Reason why he ultimately did not was due to the fact that the weapons storage in dino mode looks ridiculous and more creative thinking could have settled this. Is he a good figure? Yes, even more so if you want the entire dino collection he's a great display piece without a doubt. If you just a novice collector, then you can probably do without. Kids however may like him more his transformation is pretty well balanced and has a little trickery, however not so much that it get frustrating. So even though he has 5horns I'm only giving him 3stars.

like a dinobot should look (in robot mode)
i know the engineering of this figures is awesome, but i have to say that the dino form of this one is not really that good.... the legs are kind of weird, but other than that it's good, the plastic is good (i have said this on every other review, but, the plastic on this figure is not like the crappy and cheap one they used for high octane bumblebee), it looks like the one in the movie (ok, i know the color is not like it but still i like it), now, i rather having it standing on the robot form, IT'S AWESOME i love it, the only thing i dont like is the waist articulation, it's too loose, other than that, looks great, looks big and mean, it's what a dinobot should look like, i totally recommend it
