Now Going On 11+ Years!!
I have apparently owned this mouse for SEVEN YEARS. Still works great. Never had a single problem. I own two of them because I left one at college over winter break right after I got it and refused to use my laptop at home until I got a second mouse. This has led to some "fun" mixups where I have the wrong mouse/toggle combo but that's on my ADHD brain, not the mouse. I was about to replace my ~nice~ work mouse at the office (a wireless thinkpad mouse that also has great reviews) and then I realized I don't have to buy the matching thinkpad mouse, I can buy yet another copy of this mouse because this mouse is superior in literally every way. More comfy in the hand, nicer shape/arch, scroll wheel feels better. Honestly it even feels nicer (in terms of comfort) in my hand than the Razor wired gaming mouse I have, but that's subjective. I can't speak for battery life really but it seems normal in that regard. It certainly doesn't feel like I've had to replace it very often. I'm not a SuPeR gAmEr or anything but for playing stuff like Path of Exile and Genshin Impact it's been fine. Another nice thing, although extremely niche, is that when I sprained my wrist a few months ago and had to wear a brace this was the only mouse I could grasp properly while wearing it. But yeah, I have been using this mouse for seven years, the first six of which was daily as a student (one who's free time outside of schoolwork was spent on the internet or playing basic videogames) and still use it pretty regularly since then. UPDATE: Going on year 9! On top of using it when working remotely I’ve also been using it for several hours daily for the last nine months since getting into FFXIV (the critically acclaimed mmorpg with an expanded free trial which you can play through the entirety of A Realm Reborn and the award-winning Heavensward, and thrilling Stormblood expansions up to level 70 for free with no restrictions on playtime). I cannot stress enough how much I use this mouse, and I leave it on 24/7 - I don’t switch it off on the bottom overnight or anything. I don’t even remember the last time I changed the batteries. Last month a friend of mine was talking about a mouse they love and have had since college (5+ years), so I brought up this mouse and it turned out it is this same mouse. Hilarious stuff. Update 2: Okay, it's 2026... I am still using this mouse! Still works great.

For portables and mainstream uses -- the very best!
Just excellant. I'm using it with both Linux Mint and Win 10, and I bought a third for my mother to use on her Chromebox. The buttons have both a tactile and audible click, the wheel has fine detents that can just barely be felt. The wheel tilts sideways, too, being assigned to Back (tilt left) and Forward (tilt right) in Linux. I haven't tried customizing the buttons in either Linux or Win10. Their default functions were fine, right out of the box! The little LED on top turns on for only a few seconds when the mouse wakes up, then it goes out -- maybe that's the battery indication. The color and build quality is great, as with most everything that has come from Logitech. I moved from a small Microsoft Optical 5000 corded mouse for portables to this mouse, wanting to be free of cords. The AA battery makes the Logitech heavier, but also promises a long life between replacements. I leave the mouse switched on always, and I still expect more than a year on the battery. I'm not heavy-handed, so the rubber sides give it a good, non-slip feel, while the top is ergonomic, with just enough curvature to signal that your fingers are placed such that the wheel is where you expect, making the mouse an extension of your hand. I'm thinking of opening my laptop to embed the RF dongle inside the case, so it's not sticking out the side to catch on things. It's a small dongle, of course, but I see no reason to ever take it out, and I don't want it catching on a travel bag or (please no) breaking off if the laptop slips and falls. I think that all laptops should have a RF device (no, not a bluetooth pain) inside for cordless mice, headphones, and auxiliary speakers. Surely a software engineer can sort through the addressing and collisions. Just one bit of advice: If you get more than one, then resist the urge to get only your favorite color. Each dongle is dedicated to its own mouse, no problem there, but you still might pick up the wrong mouse when packing your bags!

Great mouse,
I purchased this mouse after my older Logitech V220 wireless mouse stopped working after over 3 years of daily use. I really like the Smooth Scrolling feature that this mouse has, although it did take a while to adjust to the scroll wheel not clicking like my old one. This mouse fits my hands pretty well, although I have noticed that most times I end up holding it with just my fingertips due to the small size which doesn't bother me any, but it may bother those with large hands or anyone that is accustomed to larger mice. The mouse is actually a darker red than it appears to be in the picture, which I was actually hoping for. I have not had the mouse long enough to comment on battery life, but the mouse did come with a AA battery pre-installed. The compact size of the mouse also makes it very easy to just throw it in my backpack before school, and thanks to the newer style Unifying Receiver I don't even have to pull the receiver out of my laptop before putting it in my backpack. This is a very nice feature compared to the older V220, which had a receiver about the size of a typical flashdrive (which is actually what caused my old mouse to stop working, because the receiver got bent and broke). Another nice feature is the SetPoint software, which allows you to change what each button on the mouse does, and can be downloaded from Logitech's website, and is very easy to install and use.

Great Little Mouse!
I bought an off-brand wireless mouse and had nothing but problems with it. In the middle of a trip, it went completely dead and I lost a full day of work while I tried desperately to connect it back to my computer. I decided to chuck the old one when I returned and researched. Logitech is a brand name that I know and I liked that the tiny (universal) dongle that connects the mouse to the computer can be purchased separately if the original one gets lost. There is even a hard case made for this mouse should you desire one. I purchased this red one since it would match the color of my mousepad, but there are many designs available to suit a wide range of tastes. I plugged in the little dongle and the mouse flawlessly worked right out of the box. No complicated pairing needed. The speed and precision of the cursor are wonderful. I also love the size of this mouse. It is smaller and fits my hand. The mouse is slightly heavy and has a rubber grip that gives a quality feel. I was astonished over how much I loved the mouse. Sometimes, paying a few dollars more is worth it. If you are in the market for a new mouse as I was, I recommend giving one of these little M325s a try.

Inexpensive; does not track smoothly with fast scrolling through electronic books
I've been using a new, red Logitech M325 mouse since the beginning of Feb. 2022. It receives extensive use daily with web scrolling, internet searches, word games, and scrolling to determine author's style for possible purchasing of Kindle books. My prior Logitech (CE M325) had been in use for many years before it began having tracking problems. This new Logitech M325 is lighter in weight, is comfortable, and responds well overall, having no problem with accuracy in point and click functions, highlighting, cutting and pasting, etc. The difference is that it's not quite as smooth on the sides and has slight stopping points when scrolling quickly, thus disrupting the smooth tracking flow when trying to quickly scan through longer passages of Kindle books. For use other than quickly scanning through pages of reading material, it functions very well. My prior M325 Logitech mouse tracked quickly and smoothly through long passages of reading material, stopping precisely. The lack of smooth tracking with the new M325, during quick book scans, is particularly annoying to me, as I search reading material multiple times per week. Because of this, I rated it 4 rather than 5 stars, despite its inexpensive cost.

You can spend a lot more for a mouse, but why?
This is probably the fifth or sixth M325 I have bought, not because they break down, but because I buy them for friends and for additional equipment (tablets/notebooks/home video security system/etc.) Long ago, I started out my computer use with a trackball because back then the mice were wired and didn't respond to movement all that reliably (and I absolutely hate moving a mouse with no corresponding cursor movement). The resolution required one to pick up the mouse and drag it some more on a crowded desk or mouse pad to get the cursor across the screen. Very inconvenient and a trackball worked much better. For the longest time I was very much "anti-mouse." ...Until my girlfriend needed help with her computer and I used her mouse. It was a lower end model (M-317), but I was immediately surprised at how well it worked. It was wireless, sensitive to movement, and had enough resolution to make picking up the mouse unnecessary. That afternoon we went out and got a couple of the M-325s because they have the tilt wheel (very handy for surfing the Internet) and a longer battery life. I have been using mine ever since then, to the point that I've worn the little slider pads off the underside, but it still works very well, and with approximately 18 months on a single AA battery I very rarely turn the mouse off (it has an auto sleep mode after a period of no movement). Over the years I've used other brands of wireless mice while helping friends with their computer woes, but I keep buying the Logitech brand because I have been spoiled. They are a superior product in my experience.
