Socks is a cheerful and funny book, perfect for a toddler who delights in obsessively removing his socks. Colourful illustrations, and the text has a rhythm that appeals to small ears. Easy to read aloud, enjoyed by both adult and child.

My 3.5 year old daughter found this book hilarious! She loves it and asks for it most nights! Along with pants too!

The incomparable Nick Sharratt is back and, after the delights of Pants and More Pants, he now turns his attention to Socks. Well, why not? The illustrations and bright and cheerful and the book just asks to be read aloud. In a world populated by sock shaped hippocockamuses, sockatoos and even a Sock Ness monster, the rhyming text is a joy. "Sockywockydoodah! By our little sockmarine there's a socktopus, a mersock and a sockshark looking MEAN!" An ideal book for the 2-5 age group and I am certain this will be read again and again in our house.

after "pants" being such a big hit with my three year old, we thought we'd try "socks" too and it didn't disappoint! lots of fun

Not quite up there with Pants, which my daughter will recite long after the book goes away and gives us a good giggle. But still an amusing read.

Maybe its the simple but spot on rhymes or the slight mystery of the everyday objects with slightly different, this book has been a regular reading request for my 21 year old month.

Brought for a pre school and it’s a great book it captures all the children and they love it
