My daughter (30 months old ) does t understand english but she s a big fan of the book, she sits and shows me all the tricks, generally 3 times in a row. It proves that the book per se is fun for kids thanx to its funny and attractive design. Plus its old school cardboard tricks survived some wild assaults ! After 3 weeks of heavy use the book is still a future mint condition collector item :-)

My two year old, husband and I love this song and sing it around the house and while traveling. This version is worth exploring in the music classroom as well, especially if paired with "This Land is Your Land" illustrated by Kathy Jakobsen. There are several facts about the United States and about Woody Guthrie in this book and I imagine it will grow with our family.

i love the song...woodie guthrie --- would have liked the book to follow the song word for word...i would never again buy a book with "movable parts, lift-the-flaps.and pop-ups!" if it were not in "like new" condition. i thought from the description that this book would be good. i wish it had also stated that it had been a library book. :-(

My husband is a big fan of Woody Guthrie, so this was a perfect gift for him. He uses it as a coffee table book, and it sparks a lot of conversation. The book is well constructed and all the flaps and movable parts are entertaining, even for adults.

Outstanding travel book for young readers. Lots of pop ups and pull tabs. Good information about some of the great travel destinations across the U.S. Nostalgic gift idea from grand parents.

This book is really nice, lots of flappy bits - lyrics to Woody Guthrie's song for children Riding in my car plus introducing landmarks of USA and being funny in the same time - my partner loves Woody Guthrie and plays the song on his guitar which my daughter is very fond of:-)
