I LOVE the feel of the soft faux leather cover and the satiny pages! It feels so good just holding it in my hands! But the best part is the translator brings the scriptures to life! I've been reading and studying the Bible for over 45 years, but this Passion translation with all the footnotes makes it so clear and understandable to the English reader. It is not a paraphrase, but an excellent translation of the Aramaic and Greek scriptures to bring greater insight and revelation. I've been giving these away as gifts for others. The violet cover is my favorite and it looks just like the picture.

I use this product for daily reading, comparing to other scripture translations quoted in books I am studying. It is a delightful translation for today's reader. It brings the vitality of God's word into language the 21st Century bible student can appreciate. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting an extra insight into God's passion. However, one still needs a complete bible, so the only drawback is that it is just the New Testament, with Psalms, Proverbs, and Song of Solomon. You still need a bible with both the complete Old and New Testaments.

Very inspiring I love it and given a number away and all have enjoyed it and read the Bible for the first time as a Christian … I have used it often in sermons and bible studies but remember it’s more of a commentary than a trusted translation !

I am Avid Bible user, I like to use several different translations especially even like to look at the original Hebrew text when I'm understanding something in the word. I like the passion translation, the mirror Bible, the Jerusalem bible, cut my teeth on the King James Bible, I like The Message Bible. And I also like the Amplified Bible. If I'm really studying a word I will jump back and forth between different translations.

Beautiful translation! Cover is soft and vibrant .Letters are big but not too big. I bought it as a gift but I liked it so much I will order one for myself!

This is the best translation I have come across since the New American Standard. I enjoy The Message. I study the NAS. I think he New King James is wonderful. The Passion is correctly named. When you get yours, start at the Song of Songs. Read it slowly with every foot note. Two of the most important words in this reading that will open ALL your studies, "Let Him'.

Although I am not generally one who likes paraphrased translations of the Bible, I would say that The Passion Translation is a definite exception. The translation brings scripture to life. The extensive study notes are very helpful and well researched. The text and quality of the paper make it very readable, and I love the purple leather like cover that is attractive and durable.

Excellent translation, draws you to God's heart and to stir a passion for Him. Lots of extra info about each book & chapter of the Bible.I am very happy with my purchase.

I find this bible a lot easier to read and underline the things I like. The pages are thinner than most bibles I own. Manking lines shows on back side of page. Still I find this bible easier to understand as it is written conversational langue. Love it!!!
