I love this leash - not just the look of it but the quality and the design. I was a little worried about a polyurethane leash that it would snap easy with the weight on my 90 pound dog but you can take one look at it and see that it is solid.The design is great, it naturally has that little stretch that allows the dog to pull a little but then snaps them back so you aren't constantly yanking on a hard leash - it just seems more comfortable and natural to the dog I can definitely see a difference between this leash and the nylon leash I use for my lab and I plan on getting one of these for her too.The handle is comfortable - no rough edges or any seams that rub - which nylon leashes also can do and it is large and can be slipped over items to temporarily secure the dog.I was worried it would be too short as it is quite a bit shorter than a normal nylon leash but after using it I definitely like this length better since I spend most of my time holding the nylon leash short with my other hand anyway. It really is a perfect length to give them ability to move but not too much length to bug other people around you.

I have a Chihuahua who cannot contain his excitement once outside. He walks pretty well, but he goes just fast enough to pull more than he's supposed to. This leash has saved my elbows. He's about 10 lbs., so a long walk used to irritate my lanky elbows. The clasp feels strong too. i was afraid it would slip out of the rubber sheathing, but they seemed to have figured this out. I also used it to walk my cat once and she was afraid of the bulk of it, I appreciated the shorter length though. It kept her from crawling into holes and what not. I plan to get another for my future guard dog. Hopefully it will hold 180-230 lbs.

I bought this leash on the recommendation of a website for three-legged dogs, but neither that website nor this Made in America store description were accurate. This leash should only be used on large and/or heavy weight and/or extremely aggressive pulling dogs. My three-legged 15 pound Sheltie was pulled off balance and nearly fell down when he tried to moderately pull on the leash. It is also quite heavy, with a large handle that makes it rather uncomfortable to use.

I really like the leash, but at times when my border collie mix is pulling, I worry that when it stretches that it will break. It hasn't so far, thank goodness. Sometimes the clip comes off his harness. Don't know if the clip is not tight enough or I didn't have it secure. Anyway, I like the leash for short walks and taking him places. He still pulls a lot and it is a work in progress training him not to. One thing nice is that he doesn't bite it as much as a regular leash.

It's a good leash for me 5'4" with my medium size dogs, but when someone tall uses it, it's a little too short. Good chew deterrent for my dogs compared to other leashes -- I thought they would want to chew it up, but they do not try at all. They rip through nylon leashes very quickly.

This thing is awesome! My dog chews the heck out of her leashes, including this one. I typically play tug with her after every walk and this leash is great for that. The only evidence of that are tiny indents from her teeth, but no problems structurally. I get a lot of compliments on the leash from other handlers. The leash has a bit of give for when my dog tugs, which helps mitigate the whiplash a bit. This will be around for a long time.

I have a lab/Brittany mix. He is super cute but a real puller when we go for walks. This does not work well for me who only uses one hand.I bought the easy walk harness, a huge hello. But this leash with that harness has helped a great deal. The handler is a bit too big for my hand so I tend to loop my hand through. It can also get slippery if my hand sweats.Overall the dog is unable to pull as much with this leash. He has to really want it if he's going to get a pull in.

This leash is perfect for our very energetic retriever/border collie mix. It provides a great reminder to her when she feels the sudden need to dart after a bird, squirrel, or falling leaf and brings her back into position without my shoulder feeling the impact. She is also working on her socialization skills and the bright yellow color is a good way to let people know that we are working on her training.
