Great accessory for my 27" iMac 2020.
I really like this stand as it looks great overall and is quite useful. The color of the aluminum is a near perfect match and the contour of the stand is about 98% perfectly fit with the iMac base so it looks like it is part of the iMac. There is a nice anti-skid pad on the bottom, much like the one on the base of the iMac stand and drawer is quite useful, decent sized (can't be too big as it would compromise the strength of the stand), slides easily in/out (no, it doesn't need ball bearings like some suggested), and even has a very satisfying "thunk" feel/sound when it closes. It's super useful for storing SD cards, styluses, etc. And the elevation of the iMac base makes it more useful for storing items on the base like the keyboard as it makes it easier to pick up. Not cheap but super worth it!

Great design and solidly built.
I ordered two different stands to raise the height of my 27" iMac, knowing that I would only keep one. They both arrived today and the decision to keep the Rain Design mBase was not even close. The design of this unit looks like it was designed by Apple. The footprint of the unit matches precisely that of the iMac. In fact, I would venture 9/10 people would not even be aware the iMac is resting on a raised platform as the fit is so seamless and the color match is perfect. The design of the other unit (which required assembly) looked like an Erector Set.There is no assembly required. Simply take it out of the box and put your iMac on top. The iMac sits firmly on top and cannot move thanks to a rubberized base and there is no need to fear it will fall off. I only wish I had found this several years ago.I had read a view reviews complaining about the drawer not fitting properly and having some wiggle room from side to side resulting in gaps on the sides. This problem must have been rectified as my unit the drawer moves smoothly, fits well and has no play.

I love this base
Perfect item. That's the best way I can describe this base. It raises my 27 iMac to the perfect height so that you are no longer looking down and the fit is perfect. I was skeptical of the rubber bottom and top securely holding the mac in place but trust me it does! After placing it on my glass desk I wanted to scoot it over just a bit and found that I had to lift up the mac a bit in order to move the base because it wasn't moving otherwise.I was also skeptical of the built in drawer but as other reviewers have said, it's a great addition and holds a surprising amount of desktop items like pens, paper clips, stickies etc. I do wish it were a bit deeper but overall it fits my needs.Lastly, no assembly is required. You literally just open the box, which was packed nicely, place it under your iMac and you're done.Again I love this base and after shopping around a couple of weeks I believe it's the best stand available. It's reasonably priced, keeps the same foot print as the iMac, adds a little extra storage and looks great.

Looks like it's part of my iMac!
This stand matches the finish of my iMac perfectly and people unfamiliar with iMacs would assume it's just part of the computer. It feels very sturdy and silicone on the top and bottom do a nice job of protecting your desk and keeping anything from sliding around. Compared to an Elevation Lab stand I also ordered, the finish on this was better and matched the quality and appearance of Apple's aluminum. That said, as much as I like it, there is room for improvement. The drawer is fine for cables, pencils, AirPods, and other small items, but it would be nice if it was taller. Also, the drawer slides okay, but it would be nicer if it was on ball bearing or wheel glides to make opening and closing it smoother. Finally, it extends about half a millimeter past the base of my 27" iMac towards the rear portion of the sides. It's not a big deal or something that's easily noticed, but I just wanted to point out that it doesn't match the base of the iMac 100% perfectly.

Solid and sleek
This blends in perfectly with my iMac. It’s a similar material and the build quality is great. I wish the logo wasn’t engraved in the front though

Does what it says, then surprises you with how well the small details work
Fits a 2017 27” iMac perfectly. Lifts the monitor to a perfect height to sit next to the connected 31” Eizo that is my primary display. If you use two displays, you know tilting the iMac display back isn’t a viable strategy when it sits too low on your desk. To sit together properly, both displays need to be perfectly plumb. What really surprised me was how useful the little drawer is. You can thread cables in through the boack to charge things. In my case it’s my AirPods case and/or Apple Pencil. You could also pull the cable all the why out the small hole that tunctions as the drawer pull and connect devices on your desk. I was most impressed that the Apple Pencile fits the drawer perfectly with a couple millimeters to spare. It wouldn’t charge unless you placed it diagonal, but I suspected the pencil wouldn’t fit at all until I tried it.Nice work, Rain!

Perfect Fit for 2020 27" iMac
I recently upgraded from a 21.5" iMac to the 2020 27" version, and the first thing I noticed was that I was hunching over to look at things on the lower parts of the screen. I also had to tilt the monitor back every time I did a FaceTime call. This led me to start looking at monitor stands.I bought the RainDesign mBase and I am very impressed with how it matches the base of the iMac perfectly in color and dimension, and it raises the screen and camera to a perfect level. The drawer is good for storing small items like earbuds.I am also impressed with how substantial the stand is: I was expecting it to be much lighter, but it's a serious piece of aluminum.Recommended!

A bit expensive, but worth it.
The 27" iMac sits a bit low for my tastes. I had propped it up on a small box, which did the trick but was not very nice looking. I bought this Rain Design mBase and it is quite excellent. Made from aluminum, it matches the exterior of the iMac exactly. Fits the base like a glove. I put my TimeMachine disk in the drawer and ran the cable out the hole in the back. A very nice product - gets 5 stars from me.
