Kraft Tool PC048 Genuine Extra-Lite Wedge-Shaped Magnesium Darby, 48-Inch

This is a highly crafted darby I used to smooth out an uneven plaster wall before having a backsplash installed. Honestly, based on the size of my wall and the unavoidable obstructions, I would have been better off with a 30-36" darby as this was a bit unwieldy for the tight spaces I had to navigate. But I also found other uses for the darby. As DIY woodworker, I used it for layout prior to cuts and also as a guide for cutting wood. Perhaps not the best for that but for the dozens of chores that require a straight edge or check for flatness, this serves my purposes.

I was surprised to find out that this item was not perfectly straight. The thinner side or cutting edge is bowed out in the middle. I would think that this tool would be flat!?!?
