How to Study Your Bible Kindle Edition

It is an excellent book on the major parts of the bible. It briefly goes over inductive reading. It is meant for people who have intermediate knowledge of the bible already. it would NOT be good for a new Christian, they would be overwhelmed and confused. However for a intermediate bible student it brings out some good points. I was really hopeful that the book was going to hold-my-hand on how to do a inductive reading. point by point, no it does not. Although she does have booklets on each book of the bible for blow-by-blow of inductive reading- that's what I need.

Excellent practical treatment of the inductive Bible Study method. So much richness can be drawn from the scriptures if we know how to mine it. I've been a fan of the method since I read a Navigator's study book 30+ years ago. This up to date treatment gives ideas for how to mark various words with specific symbols to catch your eye and teaches you the Why questions you can ask that will help you go deeper. This has a companion workbook and there is now a hardcover Inductive Bible Study Bible with wide margins to keep your notes permanently. It follows the basic guidelines of Observe, Interpret and Apply. Lots of charts, worksheet and other tips. I plan to use this with my small group to teach them to go deeper in the scriptures.This is not specific to any denomination or set of teaching.. just a way to ask questions and examine the scriptures for yourself!

This book was one of the best I've seen for helping someone study the Bible. I've been a Christian for around 40 years and love to read. I also have a degree in print journalism, so I've seen lots of books (some which should not be in print), and this one is in the top two on my list of Bible study helps, aside from reference books.

This is one of the best study books I've ever had. Requires real immersion in the Scriptures. I was intimidated at first due to all the colors & "figuring out meaning " all by myself but following chapter by chapter I have studied deeper than ever before. Just jump in

Very detailed. Easy to read and follow. The information that you take away is priceless. I believe this will be a book that I refer to often, mainly just to keep the process fresh in my mind as I study. Love all of the Precepts materials that are out. The Lord, Teach Me To Study in 28 days is a condensed version of this book and is also amazing. I own them both. Kudos to the Precepts team!

At first glance this seemed to be an interesting tool. But, it got repetitive, and way beyond fun. Instead of studying the bible you are studying the method. The clencher was her very pointed opinion on Catholic's belief in the Eucharist. For a supposedly non denominational study method I saw no reason to slam our belief because she deems her view to be perfect. Wish I could get my ten bucks back, deleted the book. Not worth it.

Truly life changing. If you want to learn how to read the Bible, and understand what you're reading, this book is for you. It is so much better to read and discover what the Lord is telling you, without someone else interpreting it for you. As you go through scripture, you will grow from discerning the word for yourself. Kay Arthur give god, practical teaching for studying the Bible. Be sure to get the workbook also.

This Bible has changed the way I study! I love the wider margins for taking notes, but this Bible is filled with pertinent tables, illustrations, maps, etc., that really make it quite a single resource. If you're looking to deepen your study you also have all the pages on the inductive system and some very helpful tips on Observation, Interpretation, and Application. I am very glad I bought this!!!

Very quick delivery!! I ordered this book on Sunday the 5th & it arrived today Tuesday the 7th!! It wasn’t supposed to arrive until Thursday!! Very surprising for Canada Post!! 😊I’ve worked my way through “Lord, Teach Me to Study the Bible in 28 Days” and enjoyed it so much that I’m going to be leading a Bible Study on it.Then I saw this book & thought that it might be beneficial. So far I find that things are explained in a little more detail in this book, which is very helpful! I’m sure this information will help with the Bible Study!Just to clarify, this is not a Bible Study. This book walks you through the steps to study your Bible using the Inductive Study method.

This book is too complicated for me. I want to learn to study however the techniques were very intense and were frustrating for me.
