I had this on my wishlist for some time and am very happy I got it. I was using an electric griddle to make dosas which works fine but can be a little difficult to clean. This tava is much easier to use and clean up. The dosas turn out great. I have not yet used it fr anything else, but I am sure it will work fine for other purposes as well.

This is one of the best product purchase from Amazon.It works for all my daily cooking for breakfast egg, bread, roti, Pita bread.Evenly cook, less time. Not a single residue left at the top or bottom.It is beyond my expectation and exceeded my purchase experience.After using at least 10-12 griddle this is the best I ever happy with the purchase..It may be expensive investment, but will carry you for a long long time.

Perfect addition to my kitchen. Cook time is faster and easy to use.

This Griddle/Tava is large good to make dosa or large crepes. Not so good for making chapatis or paranthas because it is completely flat and take up too much space on the stove counter. I like this tava and will keep and order another one for chapatis and paranthas.

Haven't had it long but we've used it 3x to make south Indian dosas. The base radiates heat excellently especially when used on a high btu gas burner. Nonstick coating is excellent. Though made of plastic, the handle seems sturdy enough and is offset enough not to melt/burn (a common problem among griddles of this type.). Would have like to see the handle welded to the griddle but it's bolted/riveted on instead. We'll see how it holds up over time. Buyer should note that the griddle is not entirely flat; it has a very slight concave curve but we don't find it to be an issue for our purposes.

- I bought two of these at the same time, and use both about twice a week. I am very careful with the pans. I only wipe them off while they are still hot. I rarely wash them in water.*** Six months later, the nonstick coating of BOTH pans wore off (see the pic I added to this review)***- EXTREMELY overpriced for such cheap quality. I thought they would be great because they are quite heavy, but with such a bad coating, the weight doesn't matter- there is no rim, which is not ideal for runny batter like rava dosa, and also doesn't work if you like to make larger dosas- it is slightly curved. It does not sit flat on the stove, so if you have a smooth top range, this might not be the one for you

The pan works great, with one exception: you need to make absolutely sure, you do not put it on high heat.The pan can only withstand low to medium heat, and it works pretty good. For cleaning, if you put it in water it will rust - so to avoid rusting, you have to wire it immediately.The other downside is that - it does not retain heat well - so not a good for cooking fish, samon. great for pizza and bread and other low-to-medium heat task.

Everything is of very good quality, having high quality of nonstick but what i felt is that it’s a bit heavy which takes it long to preheat.
