Omix-Ada | 17206.05 | Speedometer Cluster, 5-85 MPH | OE Reference: 5761110 | Fits 1980-1986 Jeep CJ5 / CJ7 / CJ8

Installed this new speedometer in my 1984 CJ7. Fits and looks like the original. I was concerned about replacing the old speedometer because of the zero miles on the new odometer. If I ever sell the Jeep I just need to provide the Odometer Disclosure at the title transfer. I did take pictures to document the old odometer reading with the VIN and the new speedometer. I should have put in a new speedometer years ago. My needle was very jumpy and the gas guage did not work properly even after installing a new sending unit. With this new cluster everything is working great.

Chinese doo-doo buy one from Speedhut instead and pay the piper or get this crappy one and have it fail within months or buying it or like me, not work at all upon purchase! They will send you out another when it doesn't work. I have had them send me three and all were duds. Once again when you think your saving money buying a cheaper speedometer your buying problems spend the money and get the quality of an American made product without all the problems.

Not exactly like the original. The position for the backlighting is different. Example: There is one more bulb/pigtail on the OEM speedo than this one, so you need to clip one of the backlighting pigtails...there is no place to put it.

It fits Jeep but the lights that go in back of it did not fit. It had no slots for the socket rings like the OEM parts

First of all I'll say that the product is very pretty, looks great. That's where the praise stops. While the speedometer looks and fits great it's poorly designed. Cluster lights are in a place where it's illumination is not good. Light filters are not good so the turn indicators are a strange yellowish color. Fuel and temp gauges are not really lit at all unless you're brake is set which leads me to the light bleed over aspect. Every one bleeds over and screws up the lighting all together. While as far as I can tell the fuel and temp gauges read correctly there is something wrong with the ground on the fuel indicator because when you turn on the running lights it jumps up slightly. Speed indicator needle bounces like crazy due to the poor and cheap design of the mechanism. I scraped my omix one for parts to improve my original and I think that that is the only thing this is good for. Definitely not worth the money. Salvage your original if at all possible... Otherwise this item is just for looks but everything is slightly different from an original and it's painfully obvious when you look at them together. Save your money.

Speedometer works but the odometer doesn’t, fuel gauge bounces around. Pay the extra few bucks for a quality one.
