Two years running in an outdoor weather station in Virginia- it keeps going and going…
I installed this fan in my Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station to aspirate the temp and humidity sensors. It’s been running nonstop for two years in Virginia, with high heat and humidity, rain, below zero in winter sometimes, snow, etc. like the Energizer Bunny, it just keeps going! It’s in the accordion shaped housing in the picture. It doesn’t get direct exposure to rain and sun, but it does get heated, frozen, misted, etc.Addl (too much) info: Davis wants $500 for 24 hour aspiration, with solar cells and rechargeable batteries, holy smokes! I used a Dremel to round off the edges of the housing and fit it into the housing, and ran underground lighting cable to the house to run this fan on a cheap USB 5 volt adapter because at full power (12V) the fan is overkill for my application. Note that at that low voltage, any quality issues are amplified. Bearing corrosion, etc, would have been obvious at this low spin speed. But it just keeps running. I get a super accurate weather station at a very low price point. If it died tomorrow, it would still get 5 stars for the great value!

Exceptional Customer Service
One out of 4 fans were DOA.Contacted vendor (who responded promptly) and only asked for a short video showing the defective fan.Next day received an email confirming the defective fan and a tracking # with the new fan enroute.Lots of businesses could learn from Coolerguys!

Works great! Just needs some kind of guard around it.
Works great! Just needs some kind of guard around it. Several times now I’ve accidentally cut my finger on the blades when I’ve been working close to it and it accidentally gets knocked over! Each time that’s happened I’ve needed to replace the fan because that contact ends up bending a blade enough to make a horrible noise and burning smell, or it has just split the blade. Still keep reordering it, though, because it works great cooling down our RV’s solar equipment down in the bay/basement when the weather gets warm.

Other customer's videos were not this loud..
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: Spoke directly to the team at Coolerguys and they confirmed something must have happened in shipping. They are sending me a replacement and making it right! Awesome company. Fan moves more airflow than you can imagine. Get the temperature controller as well easy intuitive programing.Original: I'm not sure if mine is defective or not. I've written the company to have them take a closer look. Other videos I saw the sounds coming from their fans was just air flow. Mine has a constant hum/vibration sound coming from the motor. Makes it when it's mounted and when it's not mounted so it's absolutely the fan itself.. Might have to return it while still within the window.

Great fan, Great idea, FAILED EXECUTION.
I can't fault the fan, it did its job admirably. REALLY SILLY POWERFUL.The idea was to put this at the mouth of the drain hole on my freezer I'm using as a refrigerator in the interim when I can afford to replace the 15 year old MONOGRAM that came with this house, already put like 5k in repairs to it, so not really wanting to put more. THE issue was, moisture build up. THE idea was, pull the moisture out of the freezer using the fan. NOW maybe the problem was it was blowing too much air out causing my little temperature probe thing to trigger the freezer to stay on, thus building up condensation inside. SINCE it was way more damp with this little hack than without it. I thought I calculated correctly, 7ft^3 freezer, a fan that can move like 12.3ft^3/ minute might be too powerful. NOT GIVING UP ON IT, since I think the logic is there and I don't know how long those desiccants can last. Also they smell bad. I'll just buy the noctua fan controller for it.Conclusion:Failure for me, but can tell this fan if used properly and in the right size area, would be great for people. I was impressed by its power in such a small size.

Nonstandard mounting
This fan is very fast and very loud, but if you're in the market, you already know that. It works well and moves a ton of air. Downclocks with lowered voltage satisfactorily. My main issue isn't with any of those things, its that it doesn't take normal PC fan screws like almost every other 140mm fan. You're going to have to use special hardware with a bolt-through configuration if you want to mount this for a server. If it came with bolt/nuts or used standard PC fan screws it'd be a 5 star product.
