Great bargain, easy to install, good light
We put the pack of four (for $20) in the back of our house, where two portions of the house make an "L" corner. Because it is shaded by the two house walls on the west and south, and a neighbor's house close to the east, and there are trees, the area is shaded all day, and gets no direct sun - just the ambient daylight. This is a corner of our house where nobody should be, so the only purpose for them is to come on should a trespasser come to this dark corner (where there are windows they could break to get in). I was worried about them not getting enough light to charge, but there was no problem. Because they are not meant to be illuminated for long, I didn't care, or test for, how long they would stay on.The area lit by the four is about 25' long (the long part of the "L") by 15'wide (the short part of the "L"). I put three along the long part pointing to the right (east), and one on the short part pointing up (north). When I first rounded the corner to enter the L, the one pointing north on the short part, and the northernmost one on the top of the L, came on immediately. So, the distance that the far one was detecting was at least 25'. As I walked south, the other two came on. All told, the area was very well lit. We probably could have gotten by with just one light, but they came in a pack of 4, so why not. I may move one to the other side of the house. They give you screws and drywall anchors, but all were too short to go through our aluminum siding and hit the OSB. So, I just used some deck screws instead, which barely fit through the mounting hole in the top of the light. They are supposed to be mounted on two screws (one you install in the wall, leave it sticking out, and it goes into a slot in the back of the light. The other goes through the hole in the top. I only used the one screw at the top. The lights weigh very little, so this was still very secure. It took me just minutes to install them, including the time it took to take them down, turn them on with the slider in the back, and put them back up the next day, after wondering why they didn't work the first night. (D'oh!)I have no idea how long they will last. If they ever fail, I'll come back to this review and write that down. (It is Dec 10, 2020 today.)Overall, a great bargain, if they last at least a couple years, I'll be happy. I suspect though that they will last much much longer since the only thing I think that could fail is if water got inside, but they seemed well sealed.

works great
I got these 7 months ago, waited to see if they would last. They were super easy to put up. Just remember to turn them on before installing or you will have to take it down turn on the switch, and reinstall. I learned that the stupid way, lol. The day after I put these up we had a huge storm, a regular frog strangler. Awning and storage sheds blown away and wrapped around telephone poles. The rain was pouring, the wind was whipping, and the power went out. These babies were a life saver. The wind had started lifting my neighbors awing, so he was outside with a tie down trying to anchor the awing, I saw what was happening ( thanks to these lights} and ran out to help. Since the lights stay on as long as there motion, we were able to see what we were doing an saved the awing from blowing away. I also ran out to my car to get my emergency lights, and these lights stayed strong and lit my way. The power was out for days, but my security lights never failed. I was pretty happy with them at that time, but still waited to give a review, I wanted to make sure they would last awhile. And they have. Works as good now as when I first bought them. Tree branches moving in front of them dont set them off, nor do cars driving by. Only critters and people moving turn them on. It can detect a critter as small as a house cat. They stay on for about a minute if nothing moves, so if you stand still, the light will turn off. But if you are walking around they stay lit. I am very happy with my purchase, I would purchase again.

Amazing!! Money very well spent.
My backyard was DARK!! I hated walking to my garage or taking trash out because of how dark my backyard area was. I also had been told by a neighbor that a strange man was spotted walking through my backyard at odd hours of the night...creepy. I did my research on motion sensor lights and these came highly rated, so I figured, the price was affordable enough that even if they didn't do the job, I didn't waste much money. When I got them, I opened up the box, turned the switch to on and, because it was a bit dark in my house, the light immediately came on and it was bright! I was excited. I put two on the back of my house, two on the front of my garage, and waited until it got dark to try them out. I was like a little kid running from one to another activating them! My daughter thought I had lost my mind. Haha! She had no idea how much of a relief these simple motion lights were. The security I have, now, when I take out the trash, walk to my garage, or even standing in the laundry room looking out toward the pitch black backyard, is indescribable. If you are looking for motion sensor security lights that are budget friendly, super bright, have a wide span when lit up, are all weather proof, and provide a wonderful sense of security, these are definitely the security lights to get! You will not be disappointed.
