The gaps between the claws when they have interlocked are about 8mm, so quite big gaps and it could do with being closer so it does shred finer shreds, but other than that it rips in to the meat better than using 2 forks. I think it all depends on how well the meat is cooked also to get a good result.There are hollow bits in the claws so cleaning means the food can get in those gaps but maybe a dishwasher will not have a problem with it.

These are much better than using forks to shred pork, duck, chicken, etc. However there are hard to reach gaps on the reverse that it is hard to see if they are clean and morsel free. You'll notice not one picture above shows the underneath of the claws either. Nevertheless, I will put my faith in the dishwasher and its detergent for now because I've used them and they are a bit dear. I can also pretend to be a bear. Rowlrrr.

Ordered these this morning and received this evening, just in time to shred the shoulder off the smoker. The worked really well. Previous reviewer mentioned you'd get a better shred of the claws were slightly close together and i'm inclined to agree but just kept shredding a little longer. Either way, it took nowhere near the time it would do using 2 forks. Recommended.

Great product. Makes things much easier than wielding two forks and trying to pull meat apart that way. They are a little fiddly to clean as the claws are hollow on the underside and so I need to use a brush to get all the small bits out but I don't believe this takes away from the product at all.

Used for shredding crispy duck, had to use a bit of force, wasn’t that good of a grip but still did the job

Value for money - easy to hold in my big hands - and shreds/pulls meat in a straightforward way, rather than the faff of a fork!Value for money. A good buy.
