RECARO Performance Denali Stroller, Scarlet

This stroller we purchased in 2015 has lasted us until 2020 and we just re-sold it. It's very well made and we used it for two kids and now it's gone to a new home as previously mentioned. I gave it 4 stars and not 5 because it's a bit heavy and does not have some of the bells and whistles as other strollers but overall it's well made and comfortable for babies (although not the best for newborns) and toddlers. Steering is easy and it was super easy to assemble. We also liked how the Recaro baby car seat snapped into it easily and securely.

Our son is now 4 months old and has grown out of his Performance Coupe car seat/carrier that matches this stroller. Although he is a big boy and grew out of the carrier much faster than anticipated, he still has plenty of room to grow in this stroller and enjoys riding around in it. All the materials feel like quality materials and each moveable part moves with precision. Being our first child, we didn't have any expectations investing in the Recaro line of products (other than me knowing their racing heritage) but we were not disappointed. We also found the price point to be just right as from simple feature comparisons, we couldn't justify spending double this price on a stroller with just one child and maybe one more in a couple years...I'm sure others feel this might be a bit much for a stroller and others might feel this is a bit cheap but it was right in the price range we felt reasonable and I'd say we were right.We love the ease in which this stroller folds up - it can truly be done with one hand and in a hurry in those situations where baby is crying his head off and you need to pack-up and move out quickly. One annoying thing about the quick fold up feature is that the tray isn't engaged at the same time as the stroller so while the stroller folds up in one motion, you do have to take one quick extra step to release the tray and let it drop into the stored position.The harness is super easy to adjust and made of quality components. I am 6ft and can comfortably push the stroller but the handle is not adjustable and I can see that being a problem for anyone taller than maybe 6'3". Although this stroller is not a jogging or off road type, it does handle rough terrain well and seems to have a decent amount of give in the suspension to keep from getting too many high frequency vibrations transferred to the baby. The rear wheels have a handy one step brake and the front wheels have a simple swivel lock on each wheel that makes it easier to get through sandy areas but nothing like a big 3 wheeled jogger will.The only con I can think of is the bottom tray. Although it can hold a full diaper bag and then some, if baby is in his seat, it is hard to put bulky items in or get them out without disturbing the baby since his butt is right above the tray and blocks the entrance/exit angle from behind the stroller.Overall, we are extremely happy with this stroller and after 4 and a half months of use we still get compliments on it and we still enjoy using it. I can see us using it for a long time to come...or at least until baby out-grows it ...then maybe Baby #2 will enjoy it a couple years from now!

This is the third item I have purchased from Recaro and I am still impressed by the quality and build. I first learned they made car seats when I wanted something more sporty for our daughter since she was not liking having to remain in a booster seat and have been coming back ever since.Now that our family is expecting another little one, I went directly to the Recaro brand. I have read that Britax makes them, but I cannot confirm.We decided to go with both the Coupe Infant seat and Denali stroller set in Candy and it was a great set to have together. The color was much nicer in person than on the website and it has a good sturdy quality feel to it. The stroller works specifically with the Coupe infant seat and even though the infant seat won't last as long as some of the other car seats growth wise, it is a matter of convenience versus price savings.The great things about this stroller are the shocks, ability to remove the front holder, mesh pocket in the top to be able to look down and see baby while walking, adjustable backrest for both laying down or sitting up, the wheels are nice and smooth, one-handed button to fold down, storage at the bottom and the attachable cup holder for the top.After three products from this company I am very pleased with both the quality, feel and style of them and will continue to be a loyal customer.-Five stars-Update June 5th 2017:Now that I have been using this product since Jan 2016, I can say there are some things I no longer like about this stroller and have since opt'd to go with a Graco Ready2Grow since we are expecting our third child.-Pro: The stroller is still sturdy and nothing has broken off. The mesh is still together and the straps do not show any wear.-Cons: The wheels!!! The wheels are no longer maneuvering and they are getting stuck in a certain direction. This is a major pain when you need to turn and suddenly you are basically sliding the stroller forward to try and maneuver; ultimately having to realign the wheel to move on. Now imagine doing this in a crowded area with not much room to go to the front of the stroller and fix the issue to keep walking. This is what made this stroller no longer my go-to and I instead bought a cheaper smaller one to use when I don't have loads of stuff to store for trips.Can I really complain after using it for a year and a half and running into this issue? Maybe not, but with how seldom we used it, I would think it would last much longer before becoming a pain.
