This product is GREAT for the price! BUT .... THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT .... when setting this up... PLEASE BE PATIENT!!This took me 30 min to figure out set up, I restarted my router-restarted my phone until I realized what I needed to do. The directions it came with were not clear. Soooo keep trying and it will eventually work!I suggest you set it up in a lamp that you can plug into an outlet that is RIGHT NEXT TO YOUR ROUTER!! Make sure you go into your settings and “forget this WiFi “ to get rid of the auto connect if you also have 5G WiFi as well. This will save you time connecting, because your phone will try to automatically connect to your 5G WiFi- my phone kept asking me to add my password and when I put it in - it would say that it was wrong- very weird. So in my settings I went and disconnect the regular WiFi AND the 5G WiFi, then my phone could allow me to manually connect to the regular WiFi. Have the app already downloaded before you screw your bulb into the lamp before set up. The bulb came with a memory card , but only seemed to work for a few weeks- maybe it got full? Not sure. Never bothered to take it out due to the location I put the bulb in. I just one day noticed it said “No memory card”. I eventually paid for the iCloud storage that was offered in the app and am VERY GLAD I DID. If u have this bulb in a specific location, u don’t want to keep pulling out a memory card to put it in another device to watch the playback.Once you have the bulb set up, then remove it from the lamp and put it where u want it to be.When setting it up I had to turn the (lamp I had it in to set it up) lamp on and off a few times as instructed to make sure I was setting it up correct. So PLEASE TAKE YOUR TIME WITH SET UP.Th app is great! You can watch the playback(rewind/fastfwd is not the best but it works). You can brighten or dim the bulb, take screen shots if u need , TALK through the bulb to people and the SOUND quality was surprising amazing! I can hear complete conversations from people walking by who are 5 feet away from the bulb.

Cons: night vision is a little weak. The infrared also a little aggressive so obscures the picture in semi dark settings by making every look grey.There were 2 holes that looked like the reset pinhole resetting device which is necessary for setup. One was non functional. Once I found the correct one, setup was okay.The lamp light is totally useless. Might be okay as a night light but not much coverage and very dim.Does not disguise itself well. You can tell that it's a camera.Not onvif compatible or have ip address or web gui with rtsp port so could not get it connected to existing software like zoneminderThe good: daytime or bright room picture is decent and has different modes and effects to get a 360 degree look with little to no blind spots.Motion sensor is accurate and responsiveRecords to 32 gig micros card which was includedHas cloud storage option but not requiredOverall a decent, cheap light bulb camera.

great Discrete camera. Doesn't stick out as much as a standalone light bulb security camera.The bulb camera has voice prompts, so don’t let that startle you. It’s great as it has ability for two way talk as well. It detects motion, and can send alerts to your phone as well as take a pic or video (need cloud storage enabled).Setup was quick and easy. There is an option to setup an account and have cloud storage, but what is really nice is that you don’t need to set one up if you don’t want to. The camera can function by using a temporary account and you can still utilize most of the features without having to open a cloud account, if you have privacy concerns.I currently have mine in a desk lamp with an adjustable neck, so I can leave the switch on and point the camera where I need it to be.Video is clear, even under low light conditions. The camera angle is pretty good as well. It's not super wide to the point it distorts the image too much.This wifi camera won’t function as a normal lightbulb, so if you have the expectation that you flip the switch and the lights go on and it can record, you’ll be disappointed. The bulb needs time to turn the Wi-Fi on and log into the network if you turn it on and off, so it won’t suit that purpose well. The light portion also doesn’t turn on with the light switch, but rather the app, so keep that in mind. I found the best area to set this up would be as a bulb for a lamp or in an area with other lightbulbs that can be used for lighting, so the primary function of this is to be a camera.I’m surprised the app has so many features. The picture can be rotated in the app, so you don’t need to worry about orientation. You have different alarm/motion detection settings and can even schedule the light portion to turn on /off . Photo and video you take are saved to the app, not to your camera roll , so those stay private. There’s links to share them so it’s easy to export to someone else.I’m very pleased with it so far. Just realize that it’s primarily a camera and secondarily a light bulb.

I guess for the price, it isn't bad. My problem is, 1) to view it on the phone app, you MUST have GPS enabled as well .. WHY? I don't see why GPS needs to be active on my phone in order for the app to work. 2) The picture is like looking into a bubble. If anyone did come into my yard from outside, it would be difficult to get a good picture of them for police. 3) The night vision doesnt "see" very well in the dark, and there is even a street light across the street from my house.The motion detection works well, however you have to go look at the app to see if there is an alert. The "alert" sounds on the light, not on the app. (Kinda dumb)Overall, for less than $40, I guess it's "OK" but I need better product than this.You get what you pay for ..

While the Light Bulb Camera worked it was a four star product. After the first week the Bulb had to be reset every other day. Customer service recommendation did nothing to improve the problem. Today the camera quit working altogether. I am having to return it.
