Did the job
I went into this purchase with minimal expectations hoping it would hold up long enough for the one job we got it for. Make no mistake this unit probably is not the quality of the $600.00 item it imitates and probably would not cut it on a daily use basis, however it got the job done for us just fine. We used it to field weld some pipe boots on a large polypropylene lagoon liner and they came out great. It took us some practice first on some scraps and we did have to buy a 40mm seaming nozzle separately on Amazon as the kit did not have one, but we got where we could run a good seam. We had to watch a bunch of YouTube videos as there are only the most basic of instructions with the kit. This welder was a good economical solution for our job and saved money over hiring the job or renting a welder.
