GilaDecorative Crystal Residential DIY Static Cling No Glue No Adhesive (19.5 sq. ft.) Window Film, 36" x 6.5'

I live in a neighborhood build post world war with front window just a stones throw from my next door neighbor. When my husband and I walk our dog at night, we notice all of the "fish bowl" homes who have left their blinds up and you can see right in at EVERYTHING once the sun goes down. All too often, we have been those people. This particular film allows a ton of light and sunshine and colors to come in without sacrificing any privacy at night. In fact, it has a beautiful diamond quality sparkle and brilliance all day long. I love sunshine (the more the better). We now have this on our front window and our back window in the dining room and I can't remember the last time we lowered the blinds- it is that good. Some might miss seeing out at their front window but not us. And if we want to see in detail who might have just pulled up the drive or is walking by, we just get close to peer out one of the crystal shapes and you can see right out. This film has certainly heightened our quality of life.

I would have given this a 5 star rating except for the huge sticky label that was placed on the film to keep it rolled up. My first 10 minutes (on both rolls) were wasted on trying to remove all the sticky residue!I did 2 big windows alone but since I had a career in wallpapering it wasn't a problem for me. However, I would recommend a partner to help if inexperienced.I do like the finished outcome. It looks great on the window and it wasn't cheaply made. I would buy again.

This film is really beautiful. With the sun shining through it, it really sparkles and has an iridescent look to it. You really can't see through it clearly, obviously, but you can make out blurred images. I bought this to put on the lower portion of our storm doors so the dog wouldn't be able to see the "critters" roaming around outside. She's an excellent watchdog and will bark at anything in "her" yard. We just installed it yesterday so it's a little early to provide a complete review, but so far so good. It went up easily and extremely pleased with the appearance!

This is as close as you can get with an applied surface without removing the glass and purchasing obscured glass. And much less trouble and cost. I read all of the reviews before my purchase. I installed this over bathroom windows which are adjacent to our screen room. It obscures about 90% of the image. I suppose, if you were a perve or hell-bent on seeing into our bathroom you could make out the body parts like an old scrambled TV signal.Give it a try

This is a decorative way to get privacy from a window view without sacrificing light. The geometric design of this film is interesting and appealing. The design is successful in avoiding the institutional feel of many other window films. Installation is not difficult, using the additionally purchasable spray. Bubbles during installation are easy to avoid.

The directions were easy to follow. I was able to avoid bubbles by using the application kit that I purchased separately. Even when I had to pull the film off and reapply it wasn't much trouble at all. It doesn't bunch up or smudge easily. Provides privacy by distorting the view into the house you can barely make out the shapes and colors of people or objects inside. Lets the light in during the day and the pattern is pretty. This is my third Gila window film purchase. It is a great brand

This was relatively easy to apply. Just mind the proper measurements of your window to avoid cutting smaller, supplementary strips for gaps- as these have trouble sticking. The piece as a whole as been an absolute God send. I live facing another building and this allows me to let in light and keep my privacy.

We put this on our bedroom windows because we always had the blinds closed. Now we have light during the day and privacy at night (we checked visibility from the outside at night).Note: one downside is that you can't see out at all. Some reviews noted that you can see out of small sections. You can see a little, but it really isn't great. It's like looking out of a peephole in a door.

If you closely follow the instructions and have someone help you with the installation it goes on like a charm. The installation kit is a separate order but it makes the process much easier. We covered a patio door and could not be happier with the result. We have had a number of compliments and requests for information on where we ordered this.

Does the trick if applied correctly. Read and follow instructions and you will be satisfied with the results.
