Fitted as designed!

Easy to install canopy as long as your bonnet is not warped. The bonnet is meant to fail in case of freezing to not crack the valve body. Over time the bonnet can warp due to usage. This is also a common problem. The replacement canopy arrived quick and in perfect condition. Seller kept in contact and made sure I received the proper part and in working condition

Several reviewers have noted that this lid did not fit their vacuum breaker, even though it had the same number as their original part. I am happy to report that the replacement I received fit my vacuum breaker perfectly. I suspect that the problem may lie with vacuum breakers which may have distorted over time due to damage from water freezing in them. As this has not happened to mine in Southern Arizona, just replacing my broken lid ("canopy") was all I needed to do - so you may want to check your whole unit for damage before ordering just this one part. And as noted by others, if you do need to change this one piece be sure to retain the screws from the original, as this is the lid only.

The holes didn’t line up.

I had a failure which necessitated getting a replacement  Wilkins RK1-720A Repair Kits , Wilkins Repair Bonnet for 1/2"-1" 720A Pressure Vacuum Breaker  and canopy. The canopy arrived first, and like others I noticed the screw holes didn't line up at all to the bonnet posts. But when the replacement bonnet arrived, that fit perfectly. I then noticed that over the decades, the old bonnet had warped significantly, with the posts splaying outwards. So this is likely what's going on when people say the screw holes don't fit.This didn't come with screws (and neither did the bonnet), but luckily I had some screws in a drawer which happened to work fine. No idea what size they are.

Received the cap, but did not fit the bonnet. The bonnet had warped but fit replacement bonnet perfectly. These parts seem a bit pricey for what they do and are made.

Item arrived on time and in perfect condition. It would appear that the brass bonnet had distorted over time breaking the old plastic canopy. The new canopy did not fit as the screw holes did not line up. We were aware of the possibility. We ordered a new bonnet separately. Once the bonnet was replaced the new bonnet fitted perfectly.My advice - buy the canopy and a new bonnet together and you might as well buy the full repair kit. Our valve is 14 years old and if I had known I would have bought the full kit.
