Hair Bow Tool for Mini Bowdabra

I made a beautiful bow in less than five minutes. Very easy instructions. Love it

I love this Tool! I don't make very good bows, but this tool sure does help me make them much better!

This device is a good little invention. I learned how to use it by watching a variety of you tube videos, rather than the printed instructions. It takes about 5 yards of 2.5” wired ribbon for a nice Christmas bow with six 5” loops on each side, and nice tails. Don’t skimp on ribbon if you want a nice full bow. The special gold wire that comes with it allows you to tie it nice and tight……much better than floral wire! But floral wire can be used to attach the completed bow to something else. It’s a little pricey, but I guess we are paying for someone’s very creative invention! I love it!!

Bought this for my mother in law and she loves it! It took a couple of practices, but she's mastering it now!

I had high hopes for this bow maker. I wish I had done more research and spent just a few more dollars and purchased something else that would be able to work with me better - with my abilities and the variety of bows and the size of bows.It is decent, sure, if you are new to bow making. But if you want to make a larger size bow, this is not the gadget for you. If you need a device that has some heft, some weight, again, this is not for you. It is fairly limited in its design - and the tool to push down the ribbon really is useless - my hands work better and faster. I have made bows for a few decades, and thought that maybe this would help my sore and stiff hands - it didn't really. I know how to make many styles of bows without a gadget, and perhaps I was just too much in a hurry to get the projects done, but eventually I became exasperated with the limitations of the Bowdabra and put it to the side.Granted, the instructions had some handy-dandy tips. But, in the long run, I ended up leaving this device behind and making bows without it. It became more of a nuisance than a help. I watched someone use a larger, wooden base bow maker and was envious - that is what I wish I had purchased now. But, I sure did love saying "Bowdabra", to the point that my kids were truly annoyed.

Das Design macht auf mich einen sehr primitiven, minderwertigen Eindruck. Der Aufdruck ist entspricht keiner guten Qualität, auch die Schrift lässt eher auf ein Billigprodukt aus Asien schließen. Die Maßeinheiten sind in inch und cm angegeben (jeweils eigene Seite). Die Farbgebung finde ich wenig ansprechend, was jedoch nichts über die Qualität und die Funktionalität aussagt.Als Zubehör habe ich das Lineal zum kleinen Bowmaker dazu bestellt (separater Artikel!), was meiner Meinung nach inklusive sein sollte! Dem Lineal war eine DVD beigefügt, die ich jedoch nicht geöffnet und daher auch nicht angesehen habe. Auch ohne DVD finden sich im Internet diverse Video mit entsprechenden Anleitungen – die eigene Website stellt ebenfalls etwas zur Verfügung.Die "einfachen" Schleifen entstehen indem mehrere Bänder in Schlaufen aufeinander "gestapelt" und anschließend mit einem weiteren, schmalen Band oder Faden zusammengeknotet werden. Die Schleifen werden also weniger gebunden, sondern eher doch einen Knoten fixiert. Das nimmt der Schleife (meines Erachtens) den Charme und Hochwertigkeit. Mich hat das gesamte Konzept des Bowmakers nicht überzeugt, daher habe ich sowohl den Bowmaker als auch das Lineal umgehend zurückgeschickt.Mit ein bisschen Übung können (meines Erachtens) per Hand schönere Schleifen gebunden werden.

Der Bodabra ist der Knaller ,man kann super Schleifen machen .Habe ihn den Kindern zu Weihnachten geschenkt und die waren hell begeistert .Man kann Schleifen in jeder Größe machen die man mit der Hand so nicht hinbekommt .Top Gerät .*****

Love this, I bought it to make bows for my Christmas decorations and presents. It did not disappoint and was really quite easy to use, after watching a couple of You Tube videos. Makes beautiful bows of all different sizes. I have packed them away carefully and will reuse them next Christmas.I will use the bow maker for birthday, baby gifts, etc now in the meantime. Good piece of kit.

I love this thing it's amazing and you can make all kinds of different bows, not hard to use and it's all done with this little thing, just awesome buy and easy on the hands
