Gempro 2Pack LED License Plate Light Assembly For 2008-2010 Cadillac CTS, Powered by 18SMD Xenon White LED Lights

Works great for my plate lights but also used as fog lights for my 2020 Chevy Bolt, they were the perfect size to fit in the slots in my lower grill. Super bright and zero issue with over a year of use. They are on all the time when the car is on, look great!

I bought a car in which the original license plate light assemblies were not functioning. I searched Amazon for replacement OEM parts and found this product instead. Once installed, I was blown away. The light was so bright and pleasant that I feel these assemblies are much better than the original parts. There are two license plate assemblies that come in the package. The package is a simple box with each assembly individually covered inside. There are no bulbs in the assembly as these are LEDs. Each assembly has a short wiring harness with a connector that fits into the bulb socket. This assembly design is a better design because the the bulb sockets in my car had indicators of being exposed to extreme heat from the bulbs. There should be no extreme heat problems with this LED design. The LED assemblies fit into the car opening with a just a little bit of difficulty. It is important to make sure that the license plate wiring harness and the LED light assembly harness are both tucked out of the way so that the assembly can be pushed into place. It is easy to think that the LED assemblies have been fully installed when they haven't. I really like this product and would recommend it. I wasn't paid for this review nor did I receive this product as a gift. Update: During a recent torrential rainstorm & in rush hour traffic, I found myself driving side-by-side another Cadillac CTS with the original license plate lights. I noticed that cars behind the vehicle were constantly following too close to prevent a possible car accident. On the other hand, I found the cars behind my vehicle staying at a safe distance even as the rain reduced visibility. I feel confident that the brighter lights from this product helped make my vehicle more visible than the other CTS. I am extremely glad that I bought these light assemblies.

I read some reviews remarking they didn't fit. It is important to note that once you remove the old license plate light housings...you still need to remove the sockets with the old light bulb from the housing. You will most likely notice the old sockets are a bit brown from the heat of the old lamp. So, be careful as the sockets may be a bit brittle. Once you do that...they are plug and play. They are very bright...maybe a little too bright. But, they are a cost effective replacement for the old housings that can become brittle with age.

They don’t fit correctly. You go over a bump on the road and they fall out. Do not recommend them.

This is the second pair I've bought for my Cadillac CTS in the past year the only problem is is that the drivers side keeps falling out and hangs down. This is my winter car and only drive it from Nov 1st - May 1st. I've put the factory lights back in and no problem's. Going to Return.
