Sammons Preston Economy Foam Balance Beam, Blue - 1 Each

My daughter asked for a balance beam for her 6th birthday and we picked this out and added it to her Wish List. She was VERY excited about receiving it, but she may be a bit too old for this beam. I was expecting it to be like a gymnastics mat and was surprised that it is like a big pool noodle cut in half - so it is flat on one side and rounded on the other. My daughter likes to put it on the rounded side and walk on the flat side which will be good for her balance, but a bit dangerous. The normal way of the flat side down and rounded on top is a bit too easy, but will work for her to practice her form.It's OK for the price, but not quite what we expected.
