Pleasantly surprised! Great iPad mini 5 case
I was initially really frustrated by how few options there were for the new iPad Mini, especially ones that had an option to hold the Apple Pencil. I am SO pleasantly surprised by this case. I purchased the "Dual Color" option and love it.Pros:- The elastic loop on the outside is designed to hold the front cover when it's folded back and you're holding the tablet with one hand using the hand strap. See my photo. Some reviewers didn't understand what it was for, but it's incredibly useful for keeping the front cover still while folded back.- The "Denim Black Brown" color option's material feels GREAT. Almost like a coated canvas, so it's grippy without feeling cheap. Also water-resistant.- Pencil holder feels very snug and secure. It holds the pencil in the space between the front and back covers so that the tablet sits flat on a table.- The magnet is strong (BUT it's also misaligned which is in a CON for the auto wake feature, see below) so the cover stays closed.- Tablet with the case on is still slim. The case obviously adds some thickness and weight, but it's not enough for me to feel like I've lost the sleek feel and aesthetic thinness of the iPad.- Viewing angles are great. The interior of the cover is grippy enough that you can set the tablet at any angle instead of using just the pre-set grooves.Cons:- Auto wake/sleep feature doesn't always work -- if I open the cover, my tablet doesn't always wake.- The "Ztotop" logo on the front cover isn't very attractive.- The plastic shell holding the iPad only holds it by the sides and not the top/bottom edges (see my photo).- Case has a slight fishy odor in the beginning, but it's pretty faint and goes away quickly.**UPDATE** It has now been 6 months since I've owned this case and it is still in tip top condition. No cracks in the plastic shell, loose seams on the edges, or fraying of the elastic bands or even the pen loop. I use my iPad in this case very heavily on a daily basis and am thrilled and how well it's holding up. It's incredibly durable and practical compared to the basic smartcover cases. The only thing left to complain about is that the magnetic auto sleep/wake feature doesn't always work and "wakes" my iPad even when the cover is still closed inside my bag -- I've remedied this by just turning off the auto sleep/wake feature for my iPad entirely to reduce battery waste.

iPad Mini 5 Quality Case
I needed a case for my new iPad Mini 5 (2019 model). With very few options on the market, I must admit that my expectations were low when I placed the order. I must say that I’m very pleased with the fit and finish of the case. It fits perfect and I don’t have any worries about the quality. The cover folds back easily and I like that it has an elastic band to hold the case together. In addition, there is a hand strap that makes it easy and secure to hold the iPad in one hand. Since I bought the Mini 5 for the purpose of using the Apple Pencil to take notes, this feature is perfect for my use case. The elastic loop for holding the pencil is easy to use and grips the pencil well. The cover has two groves for propping the iPad up for viewing in landscape orientation and they work well. The cover also has a magnet in it to make the iPad sleep or wake up. The case has all the necessary cut outs that the iPad needs and the holes line up correctly. There is an extra cut out for a mute switch even though the iPad Mini 5 doesn’t have a switch. The cutout around the rear camera is larger than it needs to be but it isn’t an issue. There is a pocket on the front cover that you can slip a piece of paper or a business card into but it won’t hold much. The case have plastic that covers most of the corners of the iPad so it should protect from minor falls. The case cover is lightly padded and has a nice feel to it. The exterior is a nice leatherette and the interior appears to be vinyl. I would recommend this case to anyone looking for a well built, nice looking case for their iPad Mini 5.

IPad MINI 5 case
First off, I really don’t like putting out reviews for products I’ve only had a short while. While I’ve had the case for 4 days, just yesterday did I receive my iPad MINI 5 and put it in the case. To me, this isn’t enough time to really evaluate the product, especially in terms of durability. But, seeing as this is the second request I’ve received, I’ll go ahead and write my review. Bear in mind, though, I reserve the right to change my opinion(s) regarding this iPad MINI 5 cover should it become necessary. At first blush, this cover seems to be exceptionally well made. The leather is of a nice, smooth texture and seems to be of high quality. The stitching is of good workmanship causing the soft, yet gripping, interior surface (the surface of the cover that contacts the iPad MINI) is well fitted to the exterior leather. The overall fit is nice and tight and the cutouts for the control buttons, cameras, lighting port, and earphone jack of the iPad MINI 5 are easily accessed. The case adds very little weight to the iPad MINI and the built-in wrist strap makes holding the case very comfortable.

Fits Great On IPad Mini 5
I received this product the other day and it fits my iPad Mini 5th Gen. great! It is slightly padded for protection but not so bulky that I can't carry the iPad in my purse. It is lightweight and appears to be nicely made. The strap that helps you hold the iPad while reading is a nice touch. I have small hands and normally need to hold the mini with two hands, but the strap lets me hold it with one hand. Some previous reviewers said they had problems with the cover not turning their iPad off when they closed it. If you push the cover over too far to the right when closing your iPad, the magnet could miss its mark on the iPad and not turn off. I have caught myself doing this a couple of times; however, I just make sure the iPad turns off when I close the cover and readjust the cover if necessary to make sure it turns off. You can tell your iPad is still on if you don't hear it click off or you can still see light leaking out of the cover. I don't find it that big of a deal to make sure it turns off. So far, I find the cover to be very nice and professional looking. All of the cutouts match up nicely: camera lens, ear jack, charger, and side buttons. I would buy this again.
